Jockey - CRAIG NEWITT

Hailing from Tasmania Craig Newitt began his career in 2000 in his home state before finishing his apprenticeship with Lee Freedman in Melbourne.
It was six years later Craig Newitt rode his first Group 1 win when partnering Perfect Promise in the 2006 C.F Orr Stakes.
It was the same year Newitt began his association with the Lee Freedman-trained Miss Andretti, the pair combining for five of her Group 1 wins including the Lightning Stakes, Newmarket Handicap and the King Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Outside of the Freedman stable, Newitt has done plenty of riding for Caulfield trainer Mick Price with the pair having most success with Lankan Rupee.
Newitt took up a riding contract with the Singapore Turf Club in late December 2014 where he rode more than 20 winners including a number of feature races on the exciting galloper Super One.
Six months later Newitt returned to Melbourne to continue his association with Mick Price.
