Midweek racing from Caulfield Heath & Rosehill and we've got a horse to follow from each meeting.
Caulfield Heath Race 5 - Touchdown
Impressive win from this Hayes trained galloper who had put the writing on the wall last start at Ballarat, albeit when beaten in a 0-62. The time that day was very strong backed up by huge late splits, and he delivered on the promise of those splits here with a dominant victory, scoring by 3.3 lengths in the best time rating on the card. He's run to 97 at Racing & Sports and there looks to be more to come, with 2000m looking right up his alley in the future as well.
Rosehill Race 3 - Plaintiff
Strong win on debut by this very well bred filly, by Zoustar out of Group 1 winner Prompt Response. The overall time is solid and she was the only winner on the card of seven not to settle rails in run. She didn't have a bad run in the 1-1 by any means but she still came around them and won very well against a few with race experience. No doubt she'll be better for that and can certainly put a few on the board.
