Caulfield Race 3 - Surfin' Bird

One of a couple big margin winners on Coongy day, Surfin Bird has run fast time and put a gap on a decent field at Caulfield to run a huge new career peak that says she can go on to bigger and better things. The pace was strong and she's run to 112 on the RAS scale, up from 96 prior. She's now won her past three but this is miles ahead of what she'd been doing prior and puts stakes-level races on the table.

Warwick Farm Race 3 - Nitro

Hard to go past this win of Nitro on debut, and it's one where the figures and data don't really do it justice. She was scrubbed along early and looked to be struggling in the early part of the straight but picked up very late and absolutely flew home, making up some four lengths over the final half furlong. He looks an exciting type who should only improve his race manners.
