TURFFONTEIN

Race 1, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R95.000, 12:30GMT+2

Race Summary: Difficult to assess. BOLD RANSOM has done well in both starts and top work rider Joe Gwingwizha rides, however, stable companion newcomer GOLDEN DUKE is reported very useful - watch the betting. ORCHID STREET has been battling to crack it and finished just in front of INSIDE POLITICS recently. Watch WALLAA who debuts before this.

Selections:
#8 Golden Duke, #7 Bold Ransom, #1 Orchid Street, #2 Inside Politics

Race 2, Gallops, 2000m, Turf, R112.000, 13:05GMT+2

Race Summary: Paul Peter is firing and has honest runner PILGRIM'S PROGRESS in a 6-horse field, however, she has a hefty 63kg to shoulder. JACKO BOY is running well and with 7kg less on his back could capitalise. He races before this - watch the form. ILLUMINATE has a chance to turn it around with PILGRIM'S PROGRESS while SPRING POETRY and CIRCLE OF LATITUDE are not out of it.

Selections:
#5 Jacko Boy, #1 Pilgrim's Progress, #3 Illuminate, #2 Spring Poetry

Race 3, Gallops, 1450m, Turf, R95.000, 13:45GMT+2

Race Summary: A big field where the barrier positions are important. LITTLE RAIN ran on smartly on debut and will love the extra. FLOWER SEASON is bred for further and could feature after a decent debut. GINSENG wasn't disgraced on debut and will improve heaps. BELLE VIEW and QUEEN OF SOUL are improving but have drawn wide out. BRIDESMAID BLUES ran below her debut last time. Watch SIDONIE.

Selections:
#12 Little Rain, #10 Flower Season, #2 Belle View, #11 Ginseng

Race 4, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R105.000, 14:20GMT+2

Race Summary: Classy GREEN TOP comes off a long lay-off and should need the run. However, she could score even though not fully wound up. KEEP SMILING should be ready for a big run but although stable mates CORDILLERA and AURELIA COTTA could be short a run they are decent back-ups. Highly thought of QUEEN SUPREME disappointed last time but could show true ability. WAY OF THE WORLD can earn.

Selections:
#3 Green Top, #6 Keep Smiling, #4 Queen Supreme, #1 Cordillera

Race 5, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R126.000, 14:55GMT+2

Race Summary: Stable companions MY DREAM CHASER and ABELIE renew rivalry but with 3kg less to shoulder the latter could again come out tops. JAMRA needed her last outing and comes into the picture on that form line. Stable mate SAINTS ALIVE needed her last run - respect. VIRGINIA is a strong front runner and those tactics could see her complete a hat-trick. CAPTAIN'S PRINCESS can earn.

Selections:
#7 Abelie, #1 My Dream Chaser, #5 Virginia, #2 Jamra

Race 6, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R130.000, 15:30GMT+2

Race Summary: Most runners are prepping for bigger things. SHENANIGANS will be racing fit and could take advantage of the situation. PUGET SOUND should be having his peak run as a gelding and must be respected. SECRET POTION drops in distance as do ALI BON DUBAI, SEVILLE ORANGE and SUNSHINE SILK but all have ability and could win underdone. Others are not well in here.

Selections:
#2 Shenanigans, #1 Puget Sound, #5 Secret Potion, #4 Seville Orange

Race 7, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R100.000, 16:05GMT+2

Race Summary: THREE STARS has been disappointing but is back in the right race. If she overcomes a wide draw could resume winning ways. BEFORE THE DAWN has won both starts sporting blinkers and looking for a hat-trick here. CATTITUDE appeared underdone when winning on debut and will come on. It could go either way between SOLAR FLARE and SEEMYVISION on collateral form.

Selections:
#2 Three Stars, #7 Cattitude, #4 Before The Dawn, #3 Solar Flare

Race 8, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R88.000, 16:40GMT+2

Race Summary: BLACK FERRARI won on the 2nd time of asking and looks to have plenty more to offer. She has drawn a lot better than debutante winner MOUNT LAUREL who will be doing the catching. Look for a good effort from SENECA FALLS who is running over the right distance now sporting blinkers. MARGOT'S MAGIC won her only try this track and trip. PASSION PEACH and LADY LUCINDA could earn.

Selections:
#2 Black Ferrari, #7 Mount Laurel, #6 Seneca Falls, #4 Margot's Magic

Race 9, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R100.000, 17:20GMT+2

Race Summary: SUCCESSION benefited from a rest and showed true potential when winning his maiden easily. He could follow up. Stable companion URBAN ROCK races as a gelding now after a rest and could come on heaps. THE SANDS improved in blinkers and looks to have more to come. He could confirm with CAPTAIN'S ALPHA despite 2,5kg worse terms. BRIGTNUMBERTEN could get into the mix.

Selections:
#5 Succession, #1 The Sands, #6 Urban Rock, #8 Captain's Alpha

Best Win: #5 JACKO BOY
Best Value Bet: #12 LITTLE RAIN
Best Longshot: #12 LITTLE RAIN

DURBANVILLE

Race 1, Gallops, 1250m, Turf, R80.000, 14:00GMT+2

Race Summary: KILINDINI caught the eye when just missing out on debut over a similar tripand in what was a hot maiden. He is bred to be better over further but willbe wiser to the task now and has been found an ideal opportunity to open his account. QUINTAY, CAPTAIN ELLIODOR and STOPALLTHECLOCKS have shown enough to pose a threat but have all been drawn wide. Watch the betting on THE CAMBO

Selections:
#9 Kilindini, #13 Stopalltheclocks, #3 Quintay, #14 The Cambo

Race 2, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R110.000, 14:35GMT+2

Race Summary: Frontrunners SPECTRA FORCE and FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT will ensure an honest tempo. The latter is distance suited and should strip fitter, so makes more appeal. Stable companion GREEN JACKET is unexposed over this trip and could have a say in his peak outing, but riding arrangements suggest preference is for highly rated Frankel colt GENERAL FRANCO who could be worth following...

Selections:
#4 General Franco, #3 Frank Lloyd Wright, #1 Meraki, #2 Green Jacket

Race 3, Gallops, 1250m, Turf, R80.000, 15:10GMT+2

Race Summary: Competitive maiden. Both POINT OF SALE and LILAC SENSATION have been beatenodds-on favourites at this level but could make amends here so are worth another chance. The former acquitted herself well in a subsequent 2yo feature and on the strength of that form is preferred. NOBLE RHYTHM has the form to pose a threat if overcoming a wide gate. Respect returning CARIBBEAN SUNSET.

Selections:
#3 Point Of Sale, #11 Noble Rhythm, #10 Lilac Sensation, #6 Caribbean Sunset

Race 4, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R80.000, 15:45GMT+2

Race Summary: Well-bred FOLLOW THE STAR is highly thought of and confirmed her promise when getting going late on debut behind an impressive winning newcomer. She would have come on appreciably from that outing so will be hard to hold out stepping up to a distance which should suit. HALLIBERRY and MAYFERN have run well over this trip and look the likely dangers.

Selections:
#8 Follow The Star, #5 Halliberry, #6 Mayfern, #10 Possibility

Race 5, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R83.000, 16:20GMT+2

Race Summary: A race which could be dominated by the improving 3yo brigade. SILVER HOST and VIVA RIO opened their accounts when trying this trip for the first time and should have more to offer. BAG OF TRICKS was not disgraced on handicap debut but was behind a rival who SIR MICHAEL easily beat when shedding his maiden tag. The latter is open to any amount of improvement after a break!`

Selections:
#5 Sir Michael, #12 Silver Host, #8 Viva Rio, #1 Silver League

Race 6, Gallops, 1250m, Turf, R96.000, 16:55GMT+2

Race Summary: CLOUDED HILL has been consistent of late, albeit over further, and appears the pick of the Snaith-trained coupling on riding arrangements. However, a return to sprinting isn't sure to suit so it could be worth taking him on with distance-suited duo NASTY HARRY and stable companion MASTER VARGUS. Debut winner ARCTIC DRIFT could be anything and DALIBHUNGA must be respected too.

Selections:
#2 Nasty Harry, #6 Mister Vargus, #1 Clouded Hill, #3 Dalibhunga

Race 7, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R96.000, 17:30GMT+2

Race Summary: Debut winner RILLE, highly rated feature-race scorer AMY JOHNSON as well asdistance-suited ELUSIVE FLIGHT are all above-average fillies with bright futures but will be tested here. VOMANDLA was returning from a break when getting the better of ROCKET GIRL and FAYE in a stronger contest over track and trip last time and could defy the weight turnaround by following up. Tricky!

Selections:
#1 Vomandla, #5 Faye, #3 Rocket Girl, #7 Amy Johnson

Race 8, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R80.000, 18:10GMT+2

Race Summary: TRACK ATTACK showed a professional attitude in a Barrier Trial on the Poly and would have come on appreciably since. He is bred to be special and could be up to making a winning debut if not too green - betting will be a guide. AQUA BOLT was backed on debut and caught the eye once the penny had dropped. He will be wiser to the task, though the same applies to MYHOPESANDDREAMS

Selections:
#12 Track Attack, #5 Aqua Bolt, #7 Myhopesanddreams, #9 Pacific Rim

Best Win: #8 FOLLOW THE STAR
Best Value Bet:
Best Longshot: #5 SIR MICHAEL

SCOTTSVILLE

Race 1, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R105.000, 12:20GMT+2

Race Summary: BLING A DING DING has improved with blinkers fitted and after finishing second best last time can go one better. KATIE'S TREASURE is holding form but appears better than her form suggests. She is fitted with blinkers and could reveal her best. GO KITTY made a promising debut but drops in distance. BRUNILDA is one of many that trialled well enough. ROYAL VIEW has a say.

Selections:
#4 Bling A Ding Ding, #5 Katie's Treasure, #3 Go Kitty, #9 Brunilda

Race 2, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R105.000, 12:55GMT+2

Race Summary: KRISHNIES JET has done well in the maidens for his owner as he keeps earning but his stable and rider are in good form and he can claim a win today. Many of the barrier trial runners could show more improvement and score-watch the betting moves. POWER TO COMMAND had to take evasive action last-can show more. ALL TIME HIGH should relish the trip after a fair trial.

Selections:
#1 Krishnies Jet, #7 All Time High, #8 Burmese Ruby, #13 Power To Command

Race 3, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R105.000, 13:30GMT+2

Race Summary: GREAT GUY made good improvement in his last start and gelding must have made the difference. He could be the best of the raced runners and could confirm over the longer trip. But there are trial runners that have shown potential. SAN VERDE is a Gimmethegreenlight colt that should relish the trip and has drawn well. ON THE BAYOU disappointed after an easy trial win-watch.

Selections:
#10 San Verde, #9 On The Bayou, #1 Cardboard Cowboy, #2 Great Guy

Race 4, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R100.000, 14:05GMT+2

Race Summary: MARSANNE was unlucky not to get the chance to complete a hat-trick of wins last time. Her saddle had slipped and she still got close. She can make amends for top rider Muzi Yeni. LINEAR did win well in beating MARSANNE and must prove a big danger again. However she races after rest. TORBENITE and LA BELLA have shown the potential to win a race like this.

Selections:
#2 Marsanne, #3 Linear, #7 Torbenite, #5 La Bella

Race 5, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R112.000, 14:45GMT+2

Race Summary: The last time CANDY GALORE raced at this venue was in a feature in which she ran fourth beaten only 0,65 lengths and she had things go wrong there. She  showed her well being last time and if repeats can score. EXTRAVARGANT looks a lively danger though. She was a good second amongst males last time.WILDY IN LOVE can't be faulted either and is speedy. ROCKING RUBY can upset.

Selections:
#2 Candy Galore, #9 Extravargant, #8 Wildly In Love, #4 Rocking Ruby

Race 6, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R106.000, 15:20GMT+2

Race Summary: GRADUATE is in good form and so tries the Scottsville turf track. He has what looks the best of the draw and must have every chance. But stable mates ROYAL RUSTLER and HAMPTON COURT have shown enough recently to get in the firing line. It doesn't end there. WINTER BLUES met a strong field last and could show the strength of that. BLAZE OF SILK is fast and could get away.

Selections:
#2 Graduate, #5 Royal Rustler, #4 Hampton Court, #1 Winter Blues

Race 7, Gallops, 1950m, Turf, R117.000, 15:55GMT+2

Race Summary: ZANZIBARIAN did well even though running over a distance short of his best last time. He is arguably better on the poly but could still be hard to catch here. OUR COYS has feature form and may still be good enough to win after rest. JACK OF HEARTS is holding form and has his 4kg claiming rider so will make it hard for all. STREAM AHEAD and HOLY LAND are capable.

Selections:
#4 Zanzibarian, #6 Our Coys, #9 Jack Of Hearts, #5 Stream Ahead

Race 8, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R106.000, 16:35GMT+2

Race Summary: CLOUDS OF WITNESS was knocking hard over further before rest. He could prefer racing over the shorter trip and would have been maturing back home. FARLAND was unlucky not to win last time as he had traffic issues. He is racing after rest. NOBLE JOSHUA goes for a hat trick but has more of a task today. PETER PIPER and LAND OF MYSTERY should be right there.

Selections:
#4 Clouds Of Witness, #5 Farland, #1 Noble Joshua, #9 Peter Piper

Race 9, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R105.000, 17:10GMT+2

Race Summary: Three runners stand out: DO OR DARE, MIGHTY SMART and KING JULIAN and it could get close. DO OR DARE caught the eye last time and is improving with each race now. He has the best of the draw. MIGHTY SMART was a short head  loser here last time but has drawn worse today. KING JULIAN finished ahead of DO OR DARE last time and should not be easy to fend off again.

Selections:
#3 Do Or Dare, #4 Mighty Smart, #1 King Julian, #9 Straight Up

Best Win: #2 MARSANNE
Best Value Bet: #10 SAN VERDE
Best Longshot: #10 SAN VERDE
