The TAB Everest in Australia is the richest turf race in the world, with a total of $15 million (AUD) in prize money, and a winner's purse of $6.2 million.
A weight-for-age sprint contested over 6 furlongs, The Everest is now the crown jewel of the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival, and the $15 million prize pool sees it surpass the iconic Melbourne Cup ($8 million) as the richest Australian horse race.
The Everest will be broadcast live on FanDuel TV Friday night, October 14 (US date/time) and is also available to live stream at skyracingworld.com or via the SRW Live Racing App. First Post: 9:30pm ET / 6:30pm PT.
