Two black-type races await us at Doomben this weekend with the running of the $160,000 Tattersall's Classic and Recognition Stakes.

The Queensland Summer Carnival rolls on this Saturday with two Listed features, the $160,000 Tattersall's Classic and Recognition Stakes. 

We've landed on one at value in the latter in the form of multiple-Group 2 winner Cifrado out of the Rex Lipp barn. 

This five-year-old gelding certainly wasn't disgraced in the $1 million The Hunter at Newcastle a fortnight ago, beaten less than two lengths after making up steady ground from the back of the field. 

The son of Encryption has a solid record over this track and trip with a win and a second from three attempts and maps ideally for in-form hoop Martin Harley (12 wins from his past 30 rides) from gate two. The $9 currently on offer looks good shopping on a place heavy basis. 

In the other feature we're siding with the well-related Sunset Dreaming also at odds from the champion Tony Gollan yard. 

This half-sister to Group 1 winner Benedetta just missed the frame when resuming in the Listed Keith Noud over Saturday's course and distance and will have come on with that run now in the locker. 

Comes into gate three now with a few early scratchings and is another currently around the $9 mark. We'll be wagering a 1W x 3P type bet on this daughter of Impending.
