Queensland racing focusses on Toowoomba this Saturday with staging of the $160,000 Listed Weetwood alongside the $125,000 Toowoomba Cup and the $100,000 Toowoomba Guineas for three-year-olds.

The son of I Am Invincible goes well for gun hoop Ryan Maloney who has four wins and a placing from eight rides and is drawn to get a soft run in transit from gate three. Is a Group 3 winner in a past life and should be cherry-ripe for the six-furlong journey on the weekend. 

Currently trading around the $6.50W and $2.30P mark and a 1W x 3P type wager could yield dividends. 

Our value play lands in the opening event with another Tony Gollan-prepared galloper La Petite Maison jumping out of the inside alley over the sprint trip of 1000m. 

This five-year-old gelding has only put in one poor effort in 11 career starts and should be ready to peak now third-up from the break. 

He saves his best form for a good surface, which he should get on Saturday, and the $10W and $2.30P on offer looks succulent shopping.
