Malletier (8) was beaten just 1.3L here first-up in stronger and then raced favourite this grade and pulled up with an issue. He's back after 20 days with the blinkers applied for the first time. Shinn sticks aboard and will use the inside gate to advantage.
Immediate (4) is unlucky to still be a maiden hitting the top-five in all five starts to date and strikes a very winnable contest here. Will be ready to peak now third-up from the spell and Thompson sticks following that last-start placing. Rates the testing material.
Noble Connection (2) stepped up to 2200m last start and didn't see out the extra journey, settling last and never getting into the race. Back to this trip looks a good move and he's back to midweek company as well. CJP sticks and everything points to a forward showing.
