Looking forward to the three-year-olds returning in the Listed Drinkwise Rosebud (1100m), but it's the Petaluma BM94 Handicap (1200m), where a new version of Gatsby's comes up as our best bet.

The frustrating four-year-old son of Snitzel has been gelded over the break after failing to live up to expectations in Group company last campaign.

Trainer Chris Waller will be banking on Gatsby's excellent fresh record to continue after he ran on late first up last preparation, with a solid third to Public Attention and Linebacker in the G3 Eskimo Prince, over this trip.

The gelding operation looks to have done the trick after he's shown versatility in his trials, and it's worth noting both his wins have come on rain affected tracks.

Tomorrow Gatsby's won't  know himself with the light weight of 51.5kg with apprentice Molly Bourke's two kilo claim.

Expect to see Bourke push forward from the mid draw and get cover about three pairs back in a solidly run race.

Hovering around the $7.50 quote, Gatsby's looks exceptional each way value and will prove hard to hold out.

Our next best comes up in the Listed Drinkwise Rosebud (1100m), with the Michael Freedman-trained Pallaton.

The Wootton Bassett three-year-old colt created a big impression on debut over (1000m) at Randwick last December, before disappointing at his next two runs.

He resumes tomorrow a much stronger colt, judging by the two sharp barrier trial wins at Randwick, where he's gone to the line hard held on both occasions.

From the inside draw tomorrow, expect to see Tommy Berry put Pallatton into the stalking position and justify favouritism at $2.40.
