Putting our faith in the James Cummings Godolphin stable again this weekend at Rosehill Gardens with the exciting Tarpaulin, who resumes in the Fifty Year And Life Member BM78 Handicap (1100m).
The lightly raced three-year-old sprinting son of Harry Angel returns a gelding after failing to hold his form last campaign.
After disappointing in the Rosebud last August, Tarpaulin was kept fresh before heading to Melbourne where he returned with an unlucky fourth in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on October 5.
Fitted with the two trials in readiness for this, it was his last trial at Canterbury over the 900m that suggested he looks ready to explode, after winning with plenty in hand.
Expect to see a more polished and consistent horse this time. He should progress quickly through his grades with his strong ratings base.
The in-form Rachel King rides, and it's worth noting Tarpaulin's two wins came on the heavy tracks, where he won by big margins on both occasions.
From the sticky draw, look to see him stalk the fast tempo and launch late.
Hovering around $3.10 he's expected to start much shorter come jump time.
Our next best comes up in the TAB Highway Handicap Class 3 (1200m), with the Danny Williams-trained Exit Fee, who just failed to salute for us two-weeks-ago.
He gets a better set up tomorrow, and is expected to go one better with the fast tempo anticipated.
Jason Collett rides and Exit Fee has been well supported into favouritism since markets went up Wednesday afternoon.
