Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 3.

Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Warwick Farm, Ipswich, Balaklava, Belmont, Caulfield Heath and Launceston.

WARWICK FARM: RACE 3 @ 3:30 PM

SWORDPLAY (4) arrogantly won her maiden first-up at Newcastle then got within a length of the in-form Crepe Myrtle over 1100m at Canterbury last start. Goes like the wind and will be hard to catch coming back to 1000m. FORMAL (1) raced just off the speed then kept finding to finish third in Doomben Saturday company over 1100m recently. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and is yet to miss a cheque in six runs over today's trip. Poses a big threat. PELETTE (8) led from the get-go and just held on last time out in a Class 3 over this distance at Wellington. Form is a bit diamonds and stones but with only 52kgs she must go in the numbers. INDEFENSIBLE (6) firmed into second favouritism but was pretty feeble first-up at Canterbury last start. Improved sharply to win second-up last prep so it's too early to put a line through her. Stablemate I FOUND YOU (2) has not raced for 12 months. Black-type competitive in the past and a recent stable change may spark a return to form this prep.
SELECTIONS: Swordplay to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 3 @ 2:38 PM

IMPENDOR (2) just ran into one better in a Randwick Highway when resuming and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Sure to appreciate the drop back in company here and will be right there when the whips are cracking. ABENDER (4) looked good saluting at Doomben last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Can go back-to-back without surprising. The well-related TEN GOOD REASONS (1) (half to G2 winner and 2xG1 placed Osipenko) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Capable of bouncing right back. BUNDELLA (3) will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the break and is a must for the multiples. SIMPLY EXCELS (6) rounds out the selections.
SELECTIONS: Impendor to win.

BALAKLAVA: RACE 7 @ 5:40 PM

SEE YA LATER BABY (4) was denied by the barest margin when resuming at Balaklava. Sure to have tightened up from that run and with a strong second-up record, he can go one better. PRICILLA'S CHOICE (6) ran down See Ya Later Baby two back before a midfield effort in town. A distance specialist who will get back from the draw but can be dangerous late. PRESS EXPRESS (9) doesn't win often but is honest and rarely far away. Draws well for Toeroek and she can play a major role. ROKABYE WARRIOR (7) made light work of his rivals last start when leading all the way. Carries more weight but is drawn to advantage and should give another bold sight.
SELECTIONS: See Ya Later Baby the best of the day.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 3 @ 6:20 PM

SOUND OF SPEED (5) sat on the speed first-up and was only caught on the line, beaten in a photo finish as the race favourite. He'll be fitter for that effort and the good draw can see him close to the speed once again. He was a dominant winner second-up last campaign and he looks ready to take the next step. CANNYKEV (2) raced over 1200m first-up when setting the tempo and finishing 1.6L off the winner when tiring late in the piece. Back to 1000m now and the claim of Riordan sees him nicely weighted. Should be close to the speed and can go one better. SANCTIONS (7) is building nicely this time in work finishing only 1.5L off the winner last start at Bunbury. Needs a touch of luck from the barrier, but trust Pike to get it right. Can be in the finish once again. GANGGAJANG (8) bolted in maiden company last start in impressive fashion. Has to be included on that effort. KING'S DRAMA (1) is racing in good order and is sure to be thereabouts once again.
SELECTIONS: Sound Of Speed makes plenty of appeal.

CAULFIELD HEATH: RACE 7 @ 7:00 PM

Looks another good race for TOUCHDOWN (3) who was a dominant winner here over 1600m last time out, setting midfield off a strong tempo and powering away to score by 3.5 lengths in good overall time. He'll have no issue rising to 1800m and should even improve going to it with natural upside. Looks better than midweek grade and should be winning. ALBANIAN I AM (6) brings completely different form having tried hard in the Donald Cup last time out. He struggles to win but is going quite well and could surprise. FIORENOT (4) and SCINTILLANTE (2) come through the race behind Touchdown. Both should appreciate the rise in trip, but both are likely to settle behind the favourite again and it's hard to see them turning the tables from there.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Touchdown.

LAUNCESTON: RACE 8 @ 9:30 PM

SKELMORLIE (6) came back to a mile and missed the hat-trick by 1.8L after settling back. Belted a CL1 field by 3.5L over this distance prior, and back in grade, she can bounce back for the in-form Trinder yard. EXALTED CROWN (4) placed in a 64 over this distance and again in a 60, dropping back to a mile. Maps for a soft run with Pires reunited and has claims. SUGOI LEGEND (5) will find this more to his liking. He mixes the form but is capable at best, and Darmanin replaces Byrne Burke, who stays with the top selection. Can make the finish on a 7-day backup. The veteran CAPTAIN MORGAN (2) was plain in the same contest, but his form generally would have him in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing Skelmorlie.
