ETOILE FILANTE (2) switched from a top Victorian stable to Kris Lees and will be better for his two runs in the region. He wasn't far away at Port Macquarie last time, and has plenty up his sleeve. Maps well, and Bullock's engagement is a push. MAGNOLIA JEWEL (7) beat the above home at Port, leading all the way. Keeps improving and has a low gate. She'll be tough to peg back. CRAZY MIKKI (9) peaks and is busting to win. Has been kept on the fresh side and can use the inside barrier. In the mix.

CASINO SHAW (11) ticks plenty of boxes today and looks the one to beat at start seven. Sat on the good tempo from the wide gate when a gritty second over 1200m at this track. Kept fresh and she gets a much better set-up today. YOU COUNT (10) struck trouble at the start and got further back than expected when a poor eighth over 1100m at Nowra. Only has to jump cleanly to figure prominently. SETTA ICON (1) resumes from a lengthy break. Outclassed when eighth over 1000m at Kembla Grange on June 20, 2024. Fitted with the two slick trials and can overcome the sticky draw. EMPRESS IRENE (13) started hard in the market at her second career start when a plugging fifth over 1100m at Nowra. Can race a little closer from the inside gate and play a leading role.
