Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 15.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Newcastle, Caulfield, Doomben, Ascot and Morphettville Parks.
NEWCASTLE: RACE 8 @ 4:45 PM
COAL CRUSHER (3) won this race in 2023 and finished third to Briasa last year. Back to his best this prep and gets the right set-up today. Faded late from the wide gate when fourth in the Russell Balding over 1300m at Randwick. Brings the right form and set to peak. YORKSHIRE (14) untapped gelding with the ability to take this out first-up. Kept smashing the clock last time in and not sure where his ceiling is. Given the two solid trials and backed off the map in early betting. Goes close. ACCREDITED (11) sat on the good tempo as fav when resuming for a narrow second over 1100m at Randwick. Fitter now and drops sharply in weight. Sure to be thereabouts. AIRMAN (5) tough gelding hard fit for this and is going much better than his current price suggests. Respect. OSTRAKA (7) capable on his day and worth thought.
SELECTIONS: Coal Crusher and Yorkshire can fight it out.

CAULFIELD: RACE 5 @ 2:35 PM
ROLL ON HIGH (3) hasn't won in a long time but she looks very well suited getting to 1600m for the first time since March of 2024. Remarkably, she hasn't stepped beyond 1400m in that time despite being by Shamus Award out of a High Chaparral mare. Her last run on Melbourne Cup day gave every indication she's crying out for more ground, settling a mile back and rattling home to finish second. This looks a very winnable race and if she's not too far off the leaders on straightening, she'll round them up. MOLLY BLOOM (2) has disappointed her past two, the run three back behind Splash Back would go close. PONDALOWIE (8) is going okay, not convinced she wants 1600m but she showed versatility last time and is suited by the draw. BLINDEDBYTHELIGHT (9) backs up from very heavy ground on Champions Day at Flemington. Back in trip off that is a huge query but she's talented. PRECIOUS CHARM (4) next best.
SELECTIONS: Roll On High to win.
DOOMBEN: RACE 1 @ 12:43 PM
The babies kick us off. BOOMELLI (3) couldn't have been more impressive when saluting by four lengths at the Sunny Coast on debut and winning rider Thompson sticks in the saddle. Will have taken a stack of confidence from that dominant victory and looks very hard to hold out again. ITCHINTOGO (1) is facing the starter for the first time but looked handy winning a recent trial and is sure to be well-educated out of the Gollan barn. Respect any market confidence. LEAVES OF LORIEN (5) put in a better effort last time out and seems to be improving with racing. One for the multiples. MAGRITTE (4) next in line on the back of a debut placing here.
SELECTIONS: Boomelli to go back-to-back to start the career.
ASCOT: RACE 8 @ 5:20 PM
The feature of the day now and TALKANCO (1) looks the one to beat after finishing just 0.2L away in the main lead-up last start. She's carried more weight than her rivals throughout the campaign thus far and now meets them all at level weights. She's drawn ideally and with things swinging her way today, she's the one to beat. OURGIRLCANRUN (10) backed up her impressive Maiden win with a strong performance in the Burgess Queen when setting the tempo. Blinkers come off now as she rises to the mile, but she'll give them something to chase. MOONWALK (8) ticks a few boxes today and could be an improver. PURE EXCESS (9) wasn't beaten far in the Burgess Queen as a $26 chance and has to be included. SELECTIONS: Keen on Talkanco.
MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 6 @ 3:57 PM
Can the winning streak continue? There is a good chance it can as GURU WARRIOR (3) finds the right race to continue his rise through the ranks. He's been winning comfortably while still doing a bit wrong. The step to 2250m looks suitable and unless he regresses, there doesn't appear to be anything that will trouble him too much. Think he can win again and put a margin on them again. TALISAY (8) has ability but she was almost 4L off Guru Warrior last start and she is probably only a place chance again. Others that shape as place chances are prolific winners YURI ROYALE (2) and MAGNETIC EDGE (4).
SELECTIONS: Backing Guru Warrior to win again.
