Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 13.
Australian thoroughbred meetings are today held at Kembla Grange, Scone and Kilmore.
KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 2 @ 2:10 PM
Tricky and the betting will be instructive. WAEREA (1) missed a nose here on debut and has been well trialled. Maps well and he can go one better with the extra fitness. SWING STATE (6) resumed in the same race and didn't have much luck. He will have taken fitness and learning and can be a player today. SUPER SCOTCH (3), TORMANZOR (4) and SAVVY SPY (2) are all debutants from leading metro yards. No standout trials from them, but the first pair map well and the market moves should tell the story with these newcomers. KUWAIT (8) is racing well and it wouldn't surprise if he found a place at least.
SELECTIONS: Waerea sets the standard.

SCONE: RACE 2 @ 1:50 PM
DALE (2) improved again narrowly beaten here and then tackled stronger grade at Rosehill and found it a bit rich over 1800m. The step up to the middle distance will be right up his alley and 3x winning rider Bullock is reunited. Sure to play a big role. CASINO STAGE (7) brings a 2.7L defeat from Dubbo over this distance but won easily at Mudgee prior. Tumbles in weight back a few levels and that brings him right into it. HAZE (3) improved last time out to score by 2 lengths over 1600m at this track. Maps for a soft run and also has a weight drop. Will get every chance to run out the extra journey. SEBILLA (4) seeks the hat-trick off a 66 win at Tamworth this trip and has been kept on the fresh side. Has an awkward gate but can feature again.
SELECTIONS: Backing Dale.
KILMORE: RACE 4 @ 3:30 PM
STOLEN (4) resumed form a long break with an eye-catching run, finding the well to finish seventh but only a couple of lengths from the winner. Will strip far fitter for it and the extra trip is a huge plus. Won only other try fresh and drawn for a sift run off the inside stall. HIGHLY INTRIGUED (9) is going well and looks a big danger,. Runner-up latest in tougher grade when beaten just a neck and another drawn to have every chance. KIWIESQUE (5) is a lightly raced mare who has changed yards and returns from a break. Worth noting debut win five runs back was this course and distance and was successful. Fitter for a trial and can run well. SHEER LUNACY (1) is going better than recent form suggests and is right in this on best figures. SELECTIONS: Stay with Stolen.
