PORT MACQUARIE: RACE 3 @ 2:20 PM
Speedy mare MOSCOW CIRCUS (1) took a sit when resuming last start over this trip at Doomben and didn't shirk her task, beaten just a length in a hectic finish. Beaten narrowly over today's journey at Eagle Farm when second-up last prep. In well after the claim and might have too much class for this field. CHICA DEL MAR (6) was fair when resuming from a seven-month spell last time out over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Promising mare who scored at the same stage last time in work. Will be hitting the line hard. ELLOFADUDE (9) started at a very short quote and just did enough on debut recently over 1000m at Tamworth. Has to take a pretty big step forward today but he should manage. STAR PREDICTION (2) is a handy sprinter back from a short spell. The highlight last prep was a maiden win here at this trip. Must be considered. PRINCE RUPERT (8) faded at Coffs Harbour last time out but the form prior to that was excellent so he deserves another chance.
SELECTIONS: Keen to be with Moscow Circus.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 6 @ 5:54 PM
Lots of these are struggling to win but sticking with BALISTIQUE (10) who is one of the few with upside. Lightly raced mare tested in stakes class at a mile as a three-year-old. Regained form last time with an effortless all the way win at Strathalbyn. Drops in weight and drawn to take running down again. IMA SHELBY (4) raced on speed last time before fading on the main track here last time. This is easier and looks a great opportunity to atone. CLEITUS (2) was going well before a poor run last time. Has since freshened and changed stables. Rates well on best and can bounce back. MAXILDO (8) is going better than the last couple suggest and will find this easier. Has the claim and is capable on his day.
SELECTIONS: Follow up with Balistique.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 4 @ 7:15 PM
LET IT BEEL (7) looks the one to beat. Two runs back from a spell have been good, sticking on well for fourth out to this trip at Sandown Hillside last start in a stronger maiden. Should be further improved off that and rates highly. Wary of FUTURE FRANKIE (9, a filly by Frankel out of a Deep Impact mare who debuts for the Mark Walker yard. She's won a jumpout and the stable kicking her off over a mile suggests she could be ready to go. ZA ZA BEST (8) was well fancied on debut at Geelong and just knocked up late over the 1440m to finish midfield. She'll be better for that and the rise in trip should only suit better. ILOVETHISTOWN (1) put in a better effort out to this trip last time and should get a nice run just off the pace. Each-way. SURPERB FROST (3) next best.
SELECTIONS: Let It Beel to win.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 3 @ 6:30 PM
CHICAGO KING (1) has only missed the top-four once in ten career outings and that was when he lost the rider in a former Victorian campaign. Strikes a very winnable contest here and can finally break the maiden status against this lot. NANTERRE (6) put in a career-best performance when runner-up last time out and looks to be improving with racing. Right in this. PARADING GUS (8) has hit the frame in both starts to date and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Top-three commodity. TINTAURA (9) wasn't too far off them when resuming and will have taken some benefit from that hit-out. Deserves some consideration.
SELECTIONS: Chicago King to break through.
CANBERRA: RACE 5 @ 3:42 PM
TYRONE'S POWER (2) resumes gelded and owns a Warwick Farm trial win. Brings strong metro and provincial form and McDougall is booked and is striking at 31% with the Litt yard. Looks ready to go and should be too good. MARGIN CALL (5) debuts for Ciaron Maher and is the unknown. He's been a while coming to the races but won a recent Randwick trial and that augurs well. Has an awkward barrier, but a bold run is likely. STEP QUICK (4) resumes and has switched to the Matt Kelley yard on a 92-day return. He's speedy and Owen will use the inside gate. Has pieces of form that would see him in the finish and expect him to be wound-up for the stable's race-day. Stablemate SOUK (1) resumes and has placed 8/10. Was backed off the map his last three and keep onside.
SELECTIONS: Hard to go past Tyrone's Power.
CLONCURRY: RACE 2 @ 1:05 PM
DAWN EMBERS (4) has run very well in two runs for the new yard, finishing runner-up two back before leading throughout to score a long overdue maiden win last time. Far too quick and off the low draw can take catching again. GOT THIS (8) was also a long-overdue maiden winner last time. The filly led throughout to score at Townsville and looks more than talented enough to take beating again. LUCKY NEKO (3) resumes and has her first run for a new yard. Trip suits fresh and can measure up in this company. HURRICANE HARLOW (1) makes debut for new yard and has placed fresh. One of the better hopes on best figures.
SELECTIONS: Stick with Dawn Embers.
