Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 6.
Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Warwick Farm, Muswellbrook, Ballarat, Toowoomba and Gawler.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 1 @ 1:25 PM
CRUSADER VOYAGE (1) returns to Sydney for Waller after a couple of good runs in Melbourne to launch this prep. Ridden up on the speed last start and did well to hold on for second, beaten under a length, over the mile at Sandown. That form should hold up strongly. O'SHEAMUS (8) is fitter following two runs back from a spell and needs this trip. COSMIC CULTURE (4) showed good improvment second up at Kembla Grange. Can take another step in the right direction third up and out to the mile. PERCOLATE (9) hasn't made an impact yet but gets out in trip now. Carries nothing on her back after the 2kg claim. Might be one to monitor closely.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 6 @ 4:34 PM
BLEND OF THREE (1) is holding form beautifully and looks the clear benchmark. Dominant at Mudgee two back then went down narrowly at Dubbo when charging late. Backing up quickly and drawn to enjoy another sweet run, he is the one they all have to beat. SUPAIRO (3) has had a month between runs and arrives off a tidy trial win at Muswellbrook. Has shown plenty of ability in stronger races and will take plenty of catching if he rolls forward. ZOOMORPHIC (2) also resumes and is more than capable fresh, having kicked off last prep with a strong placing at Wyong. Genuine chance. SENALDA (11) keeps improving and went close last time at Nowra. Right in the mix again.
SELECTIONS: Blend Of Three to win.
BALLARAT: RACE 7 @ 5:05 PM
ALL PINK (6) resumes for a top metro barn and was last seen in a $1m feature at the Gold Coast. Won a recent Cranbourne jumpout and will be naturally improved. Won a Maiden by 5L three back on debut, and Bates rides and will use the inside barrier. Tough to roll. UNDER MY THUMB (1) resumes and is also in a sharp metro barn. Showed plenty last preparation and brings jumpout wins from Flemington and The Heath. Maps well and has a handy 3kg claim. Looks ready to go. MR ASSERTIVE (4) led and just missed at Wodonga. Found more like her best in that and will skip over and give a sight. FACTUALLY (10) jumped out well and just missed first-up at Echuca. She's much improved and fitter is in the mix.

TOOWOOMBA: RACE 1 @ 12:46 PM
SOUTHOFTHEBORDER (3) is unlucky to still be a maiden hitting the top-four in all three runs this preparation and strikes a very winnable contest here. Hoop Hellyer has been in the irons on all three occasions and sticks today. Rates the testing material. NIENNA (9) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and will find this easier than recent Sunny Coast efforts. Looms as the main danger. FUTURE HERO (2) gets some weight relief with the 2kg claim and maps well from gate two. Top-three contender. ALZURRI (1) is better than recent runs suggest and may earn some minor money with any luck in running. BUFFALO THEORY (10) looks to be improving with racing and is ready for the step-up in trip now. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Southoftheborder to shed the maiden tag.
GAWLER: RACE 3 @ 3:05 PM
PRINCESS ON PALM (11) looks ready to win. She had to concede a start from the wide draw last start and was finding the line better than any of her rivals. She's drawn low so might be able to settle closer here, especially up to 1500m. KING EDWARD (3) is another that can improve up in distance. Todd Pannell goes on and he will be hitting the line. PAGANINI (4) has been improving throughout his preparation and found the line very well over 1350m last start. Drawn a middle gate so it will be interesting to see if Murtagh rolls the dice and tries to settle a tad closer. SUPREME VALKYRIE (12) has placed in three of her nine starts and is a place chance again, while CITY PRO (2) is better than last start and can run a cheeky race.
