Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 30.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Grafton, Tamworth, Tatura and Cairns.
GRAFTON: RACE 7 @ 5:05 PM
MY PEPPERJACK (6) got a long way back then caught the eye late to get up for third in a BM58 over this distance at Coffs Harbour last start. Has a wide gate to contend with but will be suited by the hot tempo and with even luck she is a winning hope. GAVIN (2) continued his excellent form this prep when a determined winner over 1550m at Murwillumbah last time out. Meets a better field this time but he gets in well after the claim and should be competitive again. FULL REGALIA (4) has scored once and been close up on the other two occasions this time in work. Placed two for two at this distance and showed a liking for Grafton when comfortably home here two back. Ticks all the boxes. VENOM WOLF (11) finally registered his second win last start after a run of outs, coming from a mile back to score over this trip at Coffs Harbour. One to watch for late in the piece again. PIERRE CARDINNIGAN (1) is rock hard fit and well placed in this company.
SELECTIONS: My Pepperjack looks a nice each-way bet at generous odds.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Grafton Computer Card.
TAMWORTH: RACE 7 @ 5:20 PM
HALO PHENOMENA (6) made the perfect start for the Morgan team when winning stylishly here in April and looks to have returned in great order judging by his trial. Can make it two from two for the stable. ENNIROC (3) has come back well this prep, following his BM58 win with a strong fourth at this level. Progressive type and a major player. NOT WRITTEN OFF (2) was plain last start but steps up to her preferred trip which could spark improvement. ROCK 'N' REIGN (10) resumes, a proven fresh winner with a trial under the belt and is right in the mix. PARANA RIVER (9) has been out of the money recently including last time out when fourth over 1106m at Grafton eight days ago. Top three hope here.
SELECTIONS: Halo Phenomena to win.
TATURA: RACE 5 @ 3:30 PM
HARSH (4) presents for the premier stable and is well placed to be winning. Skipped across to Adelaide beaten narrowly in a 64 and then didn't have the best of it at Mornington in a 62. She races forward and will get every chance. RELIABLE JO (3) was swamped at Seymour in a 62 but won her Maiden well prior over 2050m. She presents fitter and will race forward again. She can give a big sight. WHISPERING PHARAOH (8) didn't feature on the synthetic but then improved sharply beaten 1L at Kilmore. Races forward and will get every chance. TOSEN IMPACT (2) deserved the comfortable Maiden this track/trip and maps well. This is tougher but he will be around the mark.
SELECTIONS: Harsh is suited.
CAIRNS: RACE 3 @ 2:17 PM
Former NSW galloper COLOURS OF AUTUMN (3) hit the frame when having her first run for the new stable and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Will find this easier than what she faced down south and rates the testing material against this line-up. The penny has dropped for INDEFINITE (5) who has won two of his past three and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. Has to be included. ARCTIC BEAR (2) has won over this seven-furlong journey and will be rock-hard fit for this. Top-three commodity. The well-related ECLIPSION (4) (full to Listed winner and G2 placed Far Too Easy) gets Wiggins back in the irons and shouldn't be discounted lightly. OLYMPIC KORCHNOI (1) best of the rest with the claim.
SELECTIONS: Backing Colours Of Autumn.
