Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 25.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Geeelong, Gatton, Hawkesbury and Goulburn.
GEELONG: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM
BANKNOTE HUSTLER (8) raced at Group and Listed level in his initial preparation and should be ready to fire off two solid runs at the NSW provincials. He's been kept on the fresh side and Ben Melham is booked. He's in a top metro barn and rates to be winning. Wary of stablemate NO NO YES (11) on debut. The well-bred colt has looked the goods winning two Cranbourne jumpouts. He maps well and Shinn is a key jockey engagement. A bold run is on the cards. OLIVIA ROSE (6) found a place at Mornington resuming off a long break. She has more to give and is capable of using the inside barrier. SOROUSH (12) was well supported at Seymour on debut but disappointed. Has the winkers on first time and quick improvement is likely.
SELECTIONS: Backing Banknote Hustler.

GATTON: RACE 2 @ 12:37 PM
ROCKABILLY (1) was well in the betting at Lismore on debut but just ran into one better on that occasion. Will have derived a stack of benefit from that day at the races and where there's smoke there's fire. Looks very hard to toss. SURE START (5) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome last time out but go on the solid runner-up finish when resuming. Gets 1.5kg off and is certainly worth another chance. TRUCK STOP HONEY (9) strips fitter third-up from the spell and gets the services of Lerena in the saddle. In the mix. SPIRITOFTHEWORLD (4) is drawn to get a gun run in transit from the inside marble and looks one for the multiples. ITALIAN GIRL (10) rounds out the selections.
SELECTIONS: Rockabilly to break the maiden status.
HAWKESBURY: RACE 2 @ 1:40 PM
STRAWBERRY IMPACT (1) was an eye-catcher first-up, storming home from the rear to grab second here over 1300m. Fitter now and looks very hard to hold out over the longer trip. PREFER DIAMONDS (6) broke her maiden here over this trip last start under Gibbons, who sticks with her. Is open to further improvement fourth-up and rates a big threat. TAMBELOA (3) sprinted quickly to get off the mark last start in town. Has been freshened with 57 days and drops slightly in trip. Tickover Wyong trial should have kept him up to the mark. Don't take lightly. YES I WIN (7) showed grit to score on debut at Canberra and is open to further improvement. Must respect. CASABLANCA EXPRESS (5) struggles to put wins together but can sneak into the finish at a price.
SELECTIONS: Siding with Strawberry Impact to win.
GOULBURN: RACE 6 @ 4:35 PM
SOCRAZYINLOVE (1) is another big winning chance for the Collett-Archibald linkage. She had switched from the Gollan yard in Brisbane and was much too good winning a CL1 comfortably here first-up. The well-bred mare has raced well in stronger and stripping fitter will take plenty of beating. UNDER THE HOOD (5) raced forward and was back to his best winning this grade at Nowra. McDougall goes abroad today and he may go on with it now. MONTIGO BAY (3) raced forward and folded up at Kembla Grange in stronger class. She'd come off a 4.3L win in a CL1 at Wagga picking up in good style. Brock Ryan goes aboard today, and she's likely to be ridden quieter. SPURLINE (8) brings a CL1 win from Queanbeyan, and that reads okay. Maps for a soft run, and she will get every chance.
SELECTIONS: Backing Socrazyinlove.
