Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Caulfield, Eagle Farm, Morphettville Parks and Belmont Park.
RANDWICK: RACE 6 @ 2:50 PM
The Tea Rose form is obviously crucial and the top five picks here all come through that race with reputations enhanced. TUPAKARA (2) was the runner-up that day after being ridden back from a wide gate then coming deep and rattling home. Draws much closer today so McDonald should have her midfield or better. Can turn the tables on APOCALYPTIC (1) who was at the races for only the second time when she weaved a passage to score emphatically. Enjoyed the benefit of a softer run that day but still had to drive through a gap and savage the line. Can only improve and another feature win is within reach. WITHIN THE LAW (3) was the victim of a poor gate in the Tea Rose but unfortunately meets the same fate today. Will be tough to hold out over the extra furlong all the same. KUJENGA (4) is best of the others to come through the Tea Rose although she looks like she might need to find another length or two. NEXT JEN (8) can improve sharply second-up over an extra furlong.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Tupakara.

CAULFIELD: RACE 8 @ 4:20 PM
The G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes where ANGEL CAPITAL (9) looks clearly the horse to beat off a huge win first up at Moonee Valley. He'd always been a talented three-year-old but he destroyed his rivals in fast time at his first run for the Waller yard there and 1400m now looks ideal. Lane is able to ride at 53.5kg and with a back to follow in the straight, expect him to go right on by once more. SEPALS (16) had been all-in favourite for this until Angel Capital ran. His win first up over this route was dominant, albeit at BM100 level. Gets in on the minimum and with a good ride he'll be hard to beat. ANOTHER WIL (1) was poor as favourite in the G1 Memsie Stakes fresh but has to be respected back to handicap grade, even when giving them weight. ZOU SENSATION (17) was behind Angel Capital last time but 1400m suits him better and he maps beautifully. IS IT ME (12) needs to find his best but his win at the end of last campaign sees him very well in with 52kg if he can find it.
SELECTIONS: Angel Capital to win.
MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 4 @ 2:42 PM
A modest race for a Saturday and it drops away pretty quickly. BURNING BRIGHT (5) broke through for a deserved win last start after a string of placings behind Rabtat. She draws well and gets in with no weight after the claim. She looks very hard to beat again. CONCORDE (2) is racing well but has lacked a killer punch at the end of his races. The low draw and the senior riding jumping aboard should help his cause. SEA TREASURES (9) has a poor overall winning record but suspect he might be able to run a cheeky race back in trip. BOLT BY (4) mixes his form but is handy enough on his day, while EXALTED FIRE (1) always runs well in these sorts of races. He can put himself on speed and give plenty of cheek.
SELECTIONS: Backing Burning Bright to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 6:35 PM
BE BARDOT (5) was fair at the end of last campaign in a slowly-run 1800m event, but she progressed through the grades nicely. Her recent trial was very impressive and Pike hops on for her return. She just missed over 1200m fresh last campaign and this looks a very suitable starting point for her. NINE BALL (9) made it back-to-back wins last start with an impressive win in a CL3 here at the midweeks a fortnight ago. She's likely to get back in the run, though she looks to have plenty of upside and there's no reason why she can't round up her rivals once again. CENTRE BOND (6) missed two back as favourite before coming over the top to score by 0.7L last time out. Up in trip now looks a good move and while this is tougher, he has the upside to raise the bar. KIRALUI (7) bounced back with a win last start in easier grade, though the figures out of that event stack up here. Key player. CORN COB (1) has to be included after bolting in here a fortnight ago.
SELECTIONS: Be Bardot can return a winner.
