Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for August 15.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Tamworth, Taree,
Seymour and Sunshine Coast.
TAMWORTH: RACE 8 @ 5:00 PM
IT STAYS IN VEGAS (10) was narrowly beaten at Scone before delivering an easy Maiden win at Moree. He will position forward and is in well with the 2kg claim. He's turned the corner and can go on with the job. CUMNOCK (2) was racing well at Dubbo before being outgraded his last two in town. Needs a good ride, but Bullock is engaged, and the gelding is much better suited. LA PELAGO (6) resumes and is much better than the form-line suggests. She's placed fresh and owns a Gosford trial win. The 2kg claimer will use the rail, and a bold return is likely. SPIRIT OF PLUTO (1) resumes and also goes well enough fresh. He gives away starts, but expect him to be running into it.

HAYLEY'S ROCKET (2) was good on debut and then went close at Kempsey as favourite. Keeps a leading hoop and will be fitter again. She can break through. VOLARE (7) is third up and returns after 7 days. Her early form would have her right in the finish, and a senior jockey goes on. No surprise to see her improve in a winnable race. LYKOS (3) was narrowly beaten on debut and resumes with Looker booked. She will be naturally improved and is likely to race well. ONE FOR HESKO (5) debuts with a small claim and has trialled at Taree. Will be better for it but no surprise if she proves the best of the remainder.

SEYMOUR: RACE 4 @ 2:00 PM
You wonder whether many others in this race could get within 5.5 lengths of Scenic Point, the hot favourite for Saturday's G3 Quezette Stks, like FACILITATE (8) did last start. Found only one better at metro level at his only other two starts, which looks the right form for this. Has trialled up well and the draw looks perfect. LAND BANK (15) has been terrible at his only two starts to date but recent trials suggest he has come back better this time in. Beat Silver Magnate at the latest and that horse won at Sandown on Wednesday. HELLO MISTRESS (13) could be the best of the first starters if the recent jumpout win is any indication and had a look at the track the trial prior. Speaking of Scenic Point. ILOVEDIAMONDS (5) has been around the mark at all four runs to date and is a must for the exotics. SIRVALDANE (9) bumps into some handy ones here on debut but did show enough in a Cranbourne jumpout win to suggest he could show up fresh.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 1 @ 2:04 PM
TURBO TORQUE (3) has been on the doorstep of a maiden victory placing in three of his past four starts and this is not an overly strong affair. Will be ready to peak now third-up from the break and gets the services of Maloney in the irons. Rates the testing material. PIGGIETALES (6) returned in good order with a handy third over this track and trip and Lloyd stays on top following that first-up placing. Only needs some luck from the wide draw to be playing a role in the outcome. LADY TANGALOOMA (7) wasn't too far away in town on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. Can improve enough to feature. SECRET ROSE (8) has been thereabouts in all four starts to date and looks a must for the multiples. The well-related NEWEVA (12) (full to G2 winner Chrysaor) next in line.
SELECTIONS: Turbo Torque to break through.
