Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Dubbo, Wagga, Echuca, Coleraine,
Sunshine Coast, Kalgoorlie and Hobart.

DUBBO: RACE 3 @ 2:05 PM

CUBAN CIGAR (11) Churchill gelding from Group winning mare Dystopia on debut for the Tracey Bartley yard. Has impressed in both trials and will take stopping today. WARBRECCAN (5) has shown ability in both career starts but is struggling to draw a decent gate. Strong through the line when second over 1000m at Kempsey. Goes close if he can get cover early. SUPREME STYLE (9) promising mare resuming. Finished runner-up at both starts in her first prep from awkward gates and today is no different. Back without a trial and expected to have strengthened over the break. Strays in the mix. STAR OF INDIGO (12) Star Turn filly from Spirit Of Indigo on debut for the Damien Lane stable. Has impressed in all three trials and should not be overlooked. JULIET BRAVO (8) trained locally and resumes with an okay fresh record. Gets map favours and must be considered.
SELECTIONS: Cuban Cigar to smoke his rivals.

WAGGA: RACE 5 @ 3:46 PM

TAKE THE RAP (4) is a lightly raced gelding with a smart record and only recent unplaced runs have come at Randwick. Trial winner leading in and should be very hard to beat in this field. JUST GOOGLE ME (9) has a good record at this track and worth forgiving last start failure at Corowa. Go on handy placing here three runs back at the 1000m trip and he's one of the main chances. MR MOPPETT (2) posted another win when sitting on speed and proving too strong at Narrandera a month ago. Can show up again. SOLVERE (5) and KAHAWATY (6) are worth including in the each-way chances on their best efforts.
SELECTIONS: Take The Rap to win.

ECHUCA: RACE 2 @ 1:10 PM

CASTELLI IN ARIA (5) jumped out well before placing second behind a dominant winner at Bairnsdale on debut. She draws inside and is sure to have come on. The longer sprint looks ideal for her. COULDTHISBETHEONE (14) debuts for the smart Laurie yard and has had six jumpouts dating back to February. He won the latest at Caulfield and a bold effort is likely, drawn to advantage. GOLD MEDALLIST (6) debuts for Moody-Coleman and will be well prepared. Keep an eye on the raceday betting with her, and with REISNER (10), who resumes for the Archibalds. Her recent Flemington jumpout was good, and she missed a nose at Terang when last seen. VADAR (4) draws wide but showed enough in town on debut to consider.
SELECTIONS: Castelli In Aria should get all the favours.

COLERAINE: RACE 4 @ 11:50 PM

LEADERBOARD (1) will be looking forward to not having to chase the champ Stern Idol, who has beaten at his past two starts. The run two back when getting within a length of that horse was outstanding and he tried hard again last time. 74kg here but has the class and Pateman aboard to be beating these. FABALOT (2) is going well, a maiden steeple winner three back followed up by two strong efforts, only 2.5 lengths behind Leaderboard when they clashed at Warrnambool. Looks the main danger again. CARNAMAH (3) was solid behind The Mighty Spar last time although has a decent margin to make up on Fabalot from last time. Each way. NASSAK DIAMOND (5) was in the market in a maiden steeple at Hamilton but lost the rider. A recent flat run was good and she could improve. MUSTANG HARRY (4) could sneak into the minors.
SELECTIONS: Leaderboard to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 3 @ 1:37 PM

WIMOWEH (1) is unlucky to still be a maiden placing in seven of ten starts overall and strikes a very winnable contest here. Has placed two from two over this mile journey and should be going close to finally shedding the maiden tag. WHISKEY TOWER (7) strips fitter second-up from the break and must be respected from the Vandyke barn. Plenty of improvement to come. BARGARA BOUND (3) has hit the top-five at his past four outings and looks to be on the doorstep of a victory. Top-three aspirations. The well-related LIFE OF TREE (8) (full to G3 winner The Amazonian) has two minor placings from four runs this preparation. Can contest.
SELECTIONS: Wimoweh to break through.

KALGOORLIE: RACE 5 @ 5:40 PM

ON JUST TERMS (7) led and bolted in over this track and trip last time out, scoring by 2.9L in very impressive fashion. The form out of that race has already stacked up and she looks to get a similar run this time around. She's down in the weights and she'll be very hard to catch from the front. TOP FUN (8) bolted in here two back as a 25-1 chance and then flew home from the rear last start when back to 1200m. Rising in trip looks a big tick and it wouldn't surprise to see him on the speed from an inside barrier. Can go one better this time. DONT WAIT FOR LUCK (2) wasn't far away here last start as the $1.75 favourite and drops back to the 1400m journey today. He's a track and trip winner in the past and the claim of Nottle has him right in the mix. SECRET ATTIRE (3) is better than he's shown her past couple and the rise in trip may be able to see her back to her best. KAKADU (4) is next best on recent form.
SELECTIONS: On Just Terms can win again.

HOBART: RACE 1 @ 12:25 PM

SKELMORLIE (9) made good improvement, beaten 2L at Launceston and is on a quick back up. That's good form for this contest and stepping up to the mile is ideal. Byrne Burke is reunited with the Trinder-trained galloper. SIENA WOLF (8) was on pace and finished a whisker ahead of the above. She will give herself every chance to run the mile right out. NO MORE ROCKS (5) was plainer over longer last time, but resumed in good order this trip, and he's a place chance with the extra fitness. TALK SOON (10) peaks following a nice effort at this track last start when fourth. Will use the rail and won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Backing Skelmorlie.
