Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Canterbury, Sandown, Doomben, Morphettville, Warwick and Belmont.

CANTERBURY: RACE 6 @ 3:45 PM

SLINKY (8) gets a much better setup for this on the quick backup. Dragged back from the outside draw before warming up late when third over 1300m at Randwick in BM78 class. Will race closer from the gate and no excuses with J Mac aboard. Hard to stop. UNSTOPABULL (2) finds his race today with the claim and handles the conditions. Struck trouble early and never looked a winning prospect when a dismal ninth over 1300m at Randwick in BM78 class. Expect to see a more positive ride early with Osmond's 2kg claim. Genuine player on best figures. DIMITROV (7) lightly raced gelding with upside. Strong through the line with the 60.5kg when third over 1300m at Kembla Grange on resumption. Comes to hand quickly and not to be underestimated. WALKIN'TALKIN' (1) big drop in class for this third up on his favoured track. Will handle the going and give a ton of cheek with Keatings' claim.
SELECTIONS: Slinky to score a well deserved win.

SANDOWN-LAKESIDE: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM

FIDDLERS GREEN (11) goes on top post-scratchings. He was in the market in a much stronger race at Randwick last start, good behind an in form horse at Rosehill prior. Back in trip suits having possibly struggled to see out a strong 1600m last time and he draws for every chance to bounce back. CINEMATIC STAR (16) is coming off a smart win in similar company at Sandown Hillside last time out, afforded every chance from the inside gate there. Should take beating again. PRESSER (3) resumes off two solid jump outs having been in good form last time in. He'll get over a touch further but warrants respect, as does DRAGOON (6) who is in a similar boat with the class to figure and Damian Lane booked.
SELECTIONS: Fiddlers Green to win.

DOOMBEN: RACE 1 @ 12:35 PM

LOUISBURGH (3) is unlucky to still be a maiden placing in all five runs this preparation and strikes a winnable contest here. Brings solid NSW formlines to the table and has placed three of four over this six-furlong journey. Looks the one they all have to run down. The well-related SOME STYLE (7) (half to G1 winner Peeping) resumes here but the form she showed when last in work was good enough for a race of this calibre. Revved up for this with a recent trial and a strong showing while fresh would not surprise. Former NSW galloper BOMBARD (5) also hails from a handy family (half to 2xG2 winner Cifrado) and has been okay in both local runs for Gollan. Should be ready to peak now third-up and is certainly in the mix. VOODOO LASS (9) draws the inside alley and may earn some minor money. ROCK ON ANGEL (6) next in line.
SELECTIONS: Louisburgh to shed the maiden tag.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 1 @ 12:10 PM

The powerful Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable with a strong hand in the small field. LAWS WARS (4) looks the pick, having been placed in both of his starts to date. The good draw and the step to 1250m should allow him to settle closer than last start, where he got back and hit the line. Toeroek sticks and he looks the one to beat. OUI OUI MA CHERIE (7) was tried in some feature races last campaign and was far from disgraced. This looks easier and expecting she can be around the mark fresh. The other Jolly runner KALMANA (3) stuck on well last time and can give plenty of cheek here, while ELEGANT LILLY (6) and ASHREIGN (1) also warrant consideration out of that same race at Murray Bridge.
SELECTIONS: Backing Laws Wars to win.

WARWICK: RACE 4 @ 2:39 PM

DRIALLE (1) has been racing in stronger company and pulled up with the thumps at Doomben 7 days ago over a mile when in the market. He draws low again and is likely to control the race. Must be pleasing, and an in-form senior hoop goes back on. MARENARO (5) resumes and has switched from a NSW barn. He has the ability and has won over this trip. Maps well, and the betting will be key. POWERFUL EAGLE (3) is proven third-up and is at his best this distance range. He can be in the finish. LONDON POINT (8) led unexpectedly at Moree, beaten a whisker stepping up to a mile. Has plenty of weight relief this grade and is also in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Drialle appeals.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 5 @ 3:25 PM

SILENT ALERT (9) was good in his only run for the stable back in February where he landed midfield and got over the top. He looks to have gone to another level again judging by his recent trial win and he still has plenty of upside. Pike rides and he can return on a winning note. GOLD MAKER (7) may get back from the barrier, though he only just missed over 1100m at Northam last time out. Azzopardi knows him well and he was right up to his best figures on resumption. Can go close again. LOST GRAVITY (6) got back in the run last start and closed off nicely after being in good form prior to that. Expecting him to sit a lot closer this time around with Brad Parnham replacing the apprentice. Right in the mix. AIN'T NO OTHER MAN (1) drops right back in grade today and can put his best foot forward. FAMOUS JURNEY (5) can be thereabouts on resumption.
SELECTIONS: Silent Alert can return on a winning note.
