Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 3.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Hawkesbury, Ipswich and Bunbury AW.
HAWKESBURY: RACE 8 @ 4:35 PM
UNUSUAL PROSPECT (5) lightly raced import held in high regard by the stable. Returned for a commanding victory over 1600m at Gosford with the 60kg. Gets a similar set up for this and expected to take the next step. ALLEGRO MISS (10) on the quick backup after closing smartly with a close up sixth over 1600m at Kembla Grange. Winning rider sticks and gets a more economical run here. Each way. AKKADIAN EMPEROR (1) returns from a lengthy break. Will keep improving as he gets deeper in the prep and given the two trials for this. Keep safe with the claim. TIP TOP TIMING (9) consistent gelding who will appreciate the claim. Boxed on steadily when fourth over 1600m at Gosford. At his top now and keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Unusual Prospect to win again.

IPSWICH: RACE 8 @ 4:15 PM
DETRIMENTAL (1) is a former Kiwi who was tried at Stakes level at Eagle Farm on a 28-day turnaround and then wasn't far away here in a CL3. The colt will be fitter and is still well shy of his NZ best. Jones' booking suggests we'll see sharp improvement. LUMENS LENNY (3) is a leader who went close here and then was better again placing second in a 70 at Doomben. He will jump and run from a low gate and can go one better. ARAMINTA (9) resumed at Doomben in better grade and it was a good effort after settling rearward. She's run well second up and has plenty up her sleeve. Keep safe. CALVARY (8) hasn't done a lot in his two runs back but his best form would have him in the finish. Has a handy gate and 2kg claim and he can go better. Goes in at a price.
SELECTIONS: Detrimental rates well.
BUNBURY AW: RACE 6 @ 6:01 PM
GIRLS DAY OUT (2) peaks off narrow defeats in stronger Maidens - heavily bet her last two. Metro trained and is thrown in with the 4kg claim. She's likely to control the race and will lead them a merry chase. RIPPER FAROOQ (1) was around the mark at Ascot and Scarpside before being outgraded and spaced here on the turf at Stakes level. Much better placed and has claims. POINT OF CONFLICT (4) resumed with an easy Maiden win at Northam in a quick return to form. She's in a leading stable and has more to offer. Has to be kept onside. ONE TARGET (7) was plain on the grass here last time in a bit stronger, but his effort at Pinjarra prior wasn't too bad. He gives away starts but can run into the minor slot.
SELECTIONS: Backing Girls Day Out.
