Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 24.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wyong, Port Macquarie, Ballarat and Cairns.
WYONG: RACE 2 @ 1:20 PM
VETWELVE (1) ready to peak at start four in this easier contest with the claim. Sent to the front from the low draw when collared late to run third over 1400m at Randwick Kensington in a Super Maiden. Can slide across from the gate and get off the mark at start seven. OMAHA SAND (7) kept safe in betting on resumption when failed to close with a plodding sixth over 1300m at Scone. Capable of better with the solid tempo. OUR JEWEL (9) struggling for consistency in her second preparation and since fitted with a searching 1200m Warwick Farm trial. Finally drawn a decent gate and not to be overlooked. JUSTICE WARRIOR (2) trained on the track and comes here in peak condition. No match for the smart Signor Tortoni when second over 1200m at Gosford. Stays in the mix. SELECTIONS: Vetwelve to take catching.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Wyong Computer Card.
PORT MACQUARIE: RACE 2 @ 1:05 PM
TICKLE ME PINK (9) ran a cracker first-up at Gosford then had no luck at all in a total forgive run last start over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Perfectly drawn and with the rub of the green today she should be opening her account. ENCHANTED WORLD (4) caught the eye on debut at Newcastle two back then missed the kick and failed to get involved at Gosford last time out. That last run was too bad to be true. Chance if she brings her best form. VELKA (10) settled midfield then battled on fairly but found 900m too sharp on debut at Muswellbrook recently. Likely improver out to this more suitable journey. INCANTRESS (5) was forty days between runs when she led but knocked up over 1300m at Scone last start. Fitter and should give backers a sight. That's where the chances end.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Tickle Me Pink.
BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM
REWARDS AND MORE (1) has some compelling metro form and is well placed in this contest. He resumed beaten 2.4L in a 70 at Sandown-Lakeside and goes well second-up. He'll need a touch of luck pushing forward from an awkward gate, but the 3kg claim brings him right into it. CASH CONVERTER (3) is proven fresh and has jumped out well. He draws inside and is right up to this at best. Everything points to a bold return. OCEANSPRINT (8) won four jump-outs and was a comfortable Maiden winner on the turf here on debut. He was well in the market in an Open 2 at Sandown-Hillside following, but raced ungenerously. The blinkers go on and Coffey sticks aboard. In a sharp local barn and he can get back on track. HELL OF A TRIP (5) flies at the track and best to forgive her effort here 13 days ago. She won at the track first-up prior in this grade against her own sex and stripping fitter should be around the mark.
SELECTIONS: Rewards And More appeals.
CAIRNS: RACE 2 @ 1:27 PM
GOLDEN OCTAVIAN (2) is getting closer and closer to a win. He got a little way back at Townsville and worked home nicely. You would have to say the added ground is right in his ballpark. On top in this suitable race. SWATOW (1) will give him a race. He was able to sit forward over a longer trip recently and just missed. Probably thinking coming back in distance is not the best. MAKEMINEMILO (4) has been OK since arriving up north. The best run came here two back. Well placed an in the mix. HOLD MY HALO (7) conceded a big start first up and couldn't make it up. Better journey here and has appeal.
SELECTIONS: Golden Octavian to win.
