Winning Trainer: Clayton Douglas (stable rep Sharnee Rose interviewed)
On why trainer Clayton Douglas was not at the races: "He's actually at home babysitting. I think Lydia's out, it's her birthday actually. – so happy birthday, Lydia – and I think she's out enjoying birthday celebrations, so Clayton's babysitting."
On how she's settled in to Victoria: "Credit goes to Nat McCall in Brisbane. She came down to us in really good order…the team's done a really good job with her, they've got her nice and hard-fit, enjoying the change of environment as well, so we're just thrilled, absolutely thrilled."
Winning Jockey: Luke Currie
On the performance: "She just sprinted so quick and then levelled a little bit late, so it was nice.
"I was back, but she was quite keen behind them but when I came out she really quickened quicker than I thought she would. I thought she might take a little bit of time cornering, but she was really fast and it's nice to see it (the track) very even.
Confidence levels before today and where she might get to: "Clayton was really happy with her going into today, she's improved each run that he's had her. She was very good in a Group race in Sydney, so there might be a better race around the corner for her."
