Lachlan Neindorf returns to Melbourne on what will be a permanent basis when he partners unbeaten filly Ferivia at Sandown on Wednesday.
Lachlan Neindorf is making the shift following another outstanding season where he secured a second Group 1 victory during the Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival while finishing second behind Rochelle Milnes in the South Australian Metropolitan Jockey Premiership.
"I am making a move to Melbourne,'' Neindorf said.
"I've definitely sat down and sort of reflected on it (the season).
"So, we'll work our way up over here and hopefully things go well.
"I kept it on a bit of a down low. I just wanted to sort a few things out, and obviously, I was focusing on finishing the season in Adelaide off strongly.
"But it was sort of always on the back burner and something my manager and I had spoken about, and I was happy to come across and test the waters here and have a red-hot crack at it,'' he said.
Neindorf will be hoping to end his season in style when he sticks with Ferivia, who justified solid market support to score a dominant 3.71 length Murray Bridge win on debut.
"She looks like a great chance off the back of her first start,'' Neindorf said.
"You see so many horses come out and they can do it in trials, but you're really not sure until they step foot on the racetrack on race day.
"For her to back it up in that first start was very pleasing to see. Not just for myself, but for the stable as well,'' he said.
