The Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman stable is likely to add to their Brisbane team after Tacumwah scored at Sandown

Tacumwah holds a nomination in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2200m) at Eagle Farm on June 8 and Coleman said the filly was likely to head in that direction after her victory in the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1800m) on Wednesday.

It was a tough watch for Coleman and the connections of the $2.35 favourite Tacumwah who had to show plenty of fight in scoring a half-neck win from Derozario ($7) with Rule Of Time ($11) a neck away third.

"I thought we were in a bit of trouble there for a while," Coleman said.

"We didn't have a whole lot of room to move, but the horse showed a great deal of tenacity.

"She pinned her ears back when the gap opened and was able to take it."

Moody and Coleman sent a team to Brisbane earlier in the week which included stable star I Wish I Win who is down to run in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1200m) on Saturday week.

Coleman said the Queensland Oaks had been in mind for Tacumwah from the time the filly commenced her current campaign.

Tacumwah resumed finishing fourth over 1600m at Mornington last month and appreciated the rise to 1800m on Wednesday.

Coleman said Tacumwah was likely to have a start in Brisbane prior to the Oaks.

"The Queensland Oaks has been on the cards for a little while," Coleman said.

"She's shown us that she's a horse that will appreciate that step up in trip.

"We'll see how she pulls up from today but all going well she might be heading to Queensland in the not too distant future.

"I think that she'll have a run up there, especially going that way as well and it will help her acclimatise up there.

"She needed that first-up run, but we were confident she had come on well from that run and were pretty confident coming here today with the step up in trip and getting on the bigger track as well."
