Racing resumes at Sha Tin

Everyone is looking forward to an exciting 2025/2026 season which gets underway at Sha Tin on Sunday.

Apart from the excitement at home Hong Kong will be represented at Gwacheon in the Korea Sprint and the Korea Cup – details in a separate story.

At Sha Tin race 3 is the Chief Executive's Cup Class 1 over 1200m and everyone is awaiting the appearance of super star Ka Ying Rising. He's unbackable but some potential value for multiples with Beauty Waves, who broke the track record at Happy Valley.  He's on 14.0 with Alexis Badel riding for Tony Cruz.  Ka Ying Rising's stablemate Harmony N Blessed is on 20.0 with Karis Teetan on board.  Both jockeys were recently in Japan and riding in good form.

Race 8 is the Tai Mo Shen Handicap Class 2 over 1400m with 10 runners and this is a very open race particularly at the start of the season.  We have gone for Pray For Mir (hope they can pronounce it correctly this season) on 6.7 for Mo-Chandwick.  Stablemate Markwin is on 5.8 with Leung on board and possible favourite Fast Network is on 4.6 for Yip-Purton.
