I was a sensational afternoon at York when Asafoora found here groove and showed the world what a good horse she is.

That was in the Nunthorpe where she started at the generous price of 11/1 as admittedly she had not been at her best so far this trip but she erased all that in a convincing win over the 1000m at York,  Ain't Nobody 100/1 was 1 ¼ lengths behind in second and Frost at Dawn continued her steady form in third having started on 10/1.

Earlier Trawlerman had continued his great staying form over the 3300m of the Lonsdale Cup adding this Cup to his Ascot Gold Cup.  Sweet William was the second home in a six horse race.

The Gimcrack went to Lifeplan 13/2 for Declan Carroll and Zak Wheatley from Rock of Thunder 7/2 and Do Or Do Not still unable to find the line and finishing third.

On Thursday Royal Fixation showed determination in outrunning American Queen, the joint favourite by a length, with Staya a good run for third.

No surprises in the Yorkshire Oaks with Minnie Hauk doing the treble and Estrange chasing her home.

Saturday will wrap up this wonderful event with the running of two Group races and the celebrated Ebor Heritage Hadicap.

The Strensall is G3 over 1800m where Wathnan's King's Gambit holds the call on 10/3 for Harry Charlton and Dan Tudhope.  There's not a lot between some of the others with Bowmark 4/1 Gosdens-Buick and Gladius on the same quote for Balding - ) Murphy and not sure what they are feeding him but Bullet Point is down to run again after winning a handicap here on Thursday for Haggas-Marquand.

The City of York G1 is over 1400m and has 11 runners and Rosallion is getting to run here for Richard Hannon and Sean Levey with 11/8.  Never So Brave is 3/1 for Balding- O Murphy and Lake Forest and Maranoa Charlie, both good horses, are on 17/2 for Haggas-Marqand and Head-Lemaitre respectively.

Then the Ebor (Ebor being the Roman name for York), a Heritage Handicap over 2800m with a field of 22 and for many this could be the get-out.
