Back at Ascot the Shergar Cup saw a win for the Asia team which consisted of Suraj Narrada, Mirai Iwata and Ryusei Sakai as both Narrada and Sakai rode winners in two of the six races. Hugh Bowman won the first and also picked up points for a second and a third to earn him the Silver Saddle again.
Over in Ireland at the Curragh the two big races went to Adrian Murray – David Egan. They combined with our tip Buccanero Fuerte 11/2 in the Phoenix Sprint and Power Blue 10/1 in the Phoenix Stakes. In the latter race he held out the fav True Love with Green Sense 12/ third, just pipping our roughie Puerto Rico by half a length.
