And that was the Irish Derby 2025 weekend

It started on Saturday with the Airlie Stakes for 2yo fillies over 1100m.

Beautify (O'Brien-Moore) was having her second start after running third on debut and succeeded in breaking her maiden with favourite Lady Iman two lengths back in second.

The Dubai International Stakes in honour of Kevin Prendergast went to the odds-on favourite Trustyourinstincts from Lafeyette 18/1 and Deepane.  6 ran.

The Pretty Polly saw the local Whirl defeat the even-money raider Kalpana with 7 horses running the 2000m G1.

The Anglesey Stakes saw Suzie Songs 7/2 defeat the odds-on favourite Flushing Meadows.  Now any tennis fan will tell you it's SW16 this week and Flushing Meadows in September!

On Sunday the feature was the G1 Derby over 2400m with a field of 10.  Lambourn got the race to make his a double-Derby winner.  Stablemate Serious Contender was one in running second at 28/1 and Lazy Griff came third this time to add to his second at Epsom.
