Sam King is back with just one selection on Thursday following his winning double yesterday.
The best bet of the day comes from Chelmsford this evening, where young Toby Moore looks to have an excellent opportunity to add to his tally onboard Mart in the Timeform Sprint Series Qualifier' Handicap (7.45).
Trainer Dylan Cunha has saddled seven winners from 24 runners over the course of the last two weeks, and Mart appears to be a rock-solid contender for the in-form handler.
A seven-time winner from 34 starts, there's no doubt that Mart knows where the winning line is and he's dropped to a more than workable mark of 68 having won twice off a rating of 75 in the past.
That mark of 68 is due to go up 2lb to 70 in the not-so-distant future for his narrow defeat over six furlongs at Lingfield last time out, while the booking of 7lb claimer Toby Moore, who has created quite the impression in recent weeks, effectively puts him off a mark of 61 here.
He should have no problems dropping back to five furlongs as a two-time winner over the trip and from a good draw in stall two, I'd expect Toby Moore to be given the instructions to be positive on this four-year-old son of Dark Angel.
Add in that he ran well on his sole outings at this venue and there's plenty like about the claims of this solid well-handicapped sprinter.
2pt Win – Mart
Odds – 9/4
