Callum Rodriguez is looking forward to partnering Waardah in her next assignment this weekend when she takes on a high-class Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes field at Ascot.

Expertly and patiently trained by Owen Burrows, Waardah has looked rapidly progressive under Callum Rodriguez in her last two starts, winning the Listed Agnes Keyser Fillies' Stakes over a mile and a quarter at Goodwood in June before successfully stepping up in both class and trip to claim the Group 2 Lillie Langtry Stakes at the same course in August.
The daughter of Postponed in now three from five in her career and Rodriguez, who has already enjoyed six Stakes successes for Burrows this season, believes she has plenty more to offer.
Speaking on Sky Sports racing, he said: "I'm really looking forward to her, she's obviously had a really good year already,"
"She seems to still be improving all the time, and her work has been good at home since Goodwood."
Conditions look set to be on the dry side for a change on Champions Day this season and although Rodriquez admits he would have been happy to see a bit more rain the forecast, he remains excited by seeing what his mount can do when upped to Group 1 level.
He added: "We would have liked a bit more rain in the forecast but I'm excited,"
"Every time I've sat on her she's felt better and better. She's had a bit of time since Goodwood and seems to have strengthened up, and her work has been pleasing.
"She surprised me in the Lillie Langtry because she switched off so well. I actually gave her a bit of a hurry up a bit earlier than ideal just to try to get her up and running and she came there quickly, so she's very talented."
