Sam King has tipped five winners over the last four days and is back with two selections on Thursday.
Heavy rain has caused havoc with racing in England over the last few days, with meetings like Goodwood and Bath run in bottomless ground, while Salisbury lost their feature Dick Poole card for the second successive season due to waterlogging.
The ground up at Haydock doesn't appear to be as affected and as a result, there are some decent prospects on show. Simon and Ed Crisford's Faeberon looks like a nice type on paper in the mile novice and it will be interesting to see how he goes, while Division turns out twelve days on from his eye-catching debut second at Haydock.
They're both worth keeping an eye on but the best wager on the card is Gallic Legend, who should be suited by the test in the mile and half Class 4 handicap at 5.12.
James Ferguson's charge showed improved form when upped to this trip at Kempton last time, keeping on nicely enough in a steadily run affair having raced freely in the early parts of the contest.
This gelded son of Sea The Stars looks like the type to progress steadily and should appreciate moving back onto an easier surface on the turf. Danny Muscutt ought to be able to get him to settle better from stall three in this big-field handicap and while he might need further progress to defy his mark of 78, that looks entirely possible after just four career outings.
1pt Win - Gallic Legend
Odds – 9/2
Earlier on the card, Blue To Blue could take some stopping in the seven-furlong nursery at 3.30.
A progressive colt, he was clearly value for more than the winning margin when he scored by two lengths at Newbury a week ago, having raced keenly in the early stages before overcoming plenty of traffic problems to run out a commanding winner.
The 6lb penalty he carries demands more but he's clearly improving for his racing and it's easy to upgrade his latest performance, while main market rival Demetrius, who also shoulders a penalty for winning at Chelmsford last time, needs to prove he's capable of a similar effort with the first-time visor worn now replaced by cheekpieces.
The young and promising apprentice Jack Nicholls knows him well after their latest success and with further improvement expected, Karl Burke's talented Blue Point colt gets the nod to add another two-year-old winner to the yards ever-growing tally.
1pt Win - Blue To Blue
Odds – 9/4
