Sam King is back with two selections on Monday.
The best wager of the day looks to come in Ireland, where Jel Pepper heads the betting in the valuable Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes at Naas.
The defection of Joseph O'Brien's Prix Robert Papin winner Green Sense has meant that Jel Pepper should take an awful lot of beating on his trip across the Irish Sea.
Trained by Paul and Oli Cole, this striking juvenile created a mammoth impression when bolting up on debut at Goodwood before quickly proving that he was capable of mixing it in group company when third in the Group 2 Kingdom Of Bahrain July Stakes at Newmarket second time out.
The form of that third-place finish at Newmarket has worked out nicely, with the winner Zavateri going on to remain unbeaten in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood, while the runner-up, Do Or Do Not, filled the same position in the aforementioned contest last week.
He's been gelded since, and with even further improvement on the cards, he could take some stopping against lesser rivals this afternoon.
2pt Win – Jel Pepper
Odds - 6/4
Up at Ripon, Kodiac Thriller looks to hold solid claims from an excellent draw in the six-furlong handicap at 3.40.
The Mark Walford-trained four-year-old has shown consistent form since dropping back to sprint distances this season, winning over five furlongs at Thirsk in May before a series of solid efforts, which includes a rock-solid second-place finish at Chester last time out.
He failed to match the finishing kick of Chester specialist Rosenpur last start but did lay up with him for much of the five-furlong event and did stay on well in the closing stages.
Stepping back up to six furlongs shouldn't pose an issue and racing off effectively 5lb lower thanks to talented apprentice Warren Fentiman's 5lb claim, he could take some pegging back from the stands' rail draw in stall twelve.
1pt Win – Kodiac Thriller
Odds – 11/2
