Sam King is back with three selections on Tuesday.
We head to Beverley for our first wager of the day, with Glendown looking like an attractive proposition in the five-furlong handicap at 4.00.
Trained by Tim Easterby, who typically does ever so well with his runners at this venue, Glendown looks too well-handicapped to ignored now dropping back into Class 6 company.
He showed up well for a long way before fading into fourth in a stronger race at Pontefract last time and should last longer back down in class.
A 1lb drop in the weights puts him on a well-treated mark of 55, which is 5lb lower than what he scored off when last successful at Southwell in November.
This stiff five furlongs will be right up his street and although stall nine makes life slightly tricker, he remains a confident selection to get back to winning ways.
1pt Win – Glendown
Odds - 4/1
On the same card, two-time course winner Park Street is worth chancing in the finale.
The Tina Jackson-trained six-year-old hasn't won since scoring over the extended mile here in September 2023 and in all truth, his recent performances have been far from inconsistent.
However, as a result he's now 7lb lower than his last winning mark and he has shown glimpses of returning to form on a few occasions this season.
He failed to get a clear run when beaten three and a half lengths into eighth over course and distance last time out, while it was a similar situation for jockey Tom Eaves when the pair finished a luckless fourth over further here back in May.
There's no doubt he needs things to fall right but with bundles of pace on paper, there's every chance this will set up nicely for one positioned off the speed.
Trainer Tina Jackson is two from four with her runners in the last fourteen days and off an attractive falling mark, Park Street could be capable of continuing the good run for the yard.
1pt Win – Park Street
Odds – 6/1
Abate looks like the best bet on the Nottingham card in the five-furlong sprint (2.40).
George Baker has his team in good form at present and looks to have recruited a well-handicapped horse.
An eye-catching runner-up at Lingfield on his stable debut last time, Abate joined the Baker team off an 9lb lower mark than when successful at Newcastle over two years ago.
He got caught out wide before running on nicely behind an easy winner last time and if able to back that up at a track where he has winning course and distance form, George Baker's nine-year-old may prove strong enough to regain the winning thread.
1pt Win – Abate
Odds – 5/2
