Race 1
Race Summary: ELUSIVE BLACK was heavily backed to win on local debut. He only found one better that day and was returning from a long break. He will strip fitter this time but does try the Polytrack for the first time. MISS TAKES was unreliable in Gauteng but can improve trying the Polytrack after a change of trainer. AMERICAN EAGLE has lost his way of late but could improve trying this surface. MAGNUS THE GOOD seems capable of better than a moderate last run and has a place chance. RIVER FERN is threatening to win a race and should fight out the finish.

Race 2
Race Summary: A small field but an interesting race. NORTH STAR is still learning her racing and should make a bold bid at scoring. ROYAL CITY GIRL is weighted to win this race comfortably but was behind that rival on the turf last time out. She does appear a much better horse on the Polytrack so do not be surprised if she turns that form on its head. TWILIGHT BAY seems at her very best on the turf but is distance suited and can go start-to-finish. WHITE WATERS showed improvement back on the turf last time out and tackles stronger. SHORI KAI is showing promise and could be better than rated.

Race 3
Race Summary: POMEROL was not disgraced on local debut and could do even better trying the Polytrack. IZANAMI showed improvement on local debut and could go one better this time. GOLDEN ALEXIA gets blinkers on for the first time and could earn some money. EXPLOSIVE GIFT should improve on her local debut and could be the surprise package. AMANATTO has been a disappointment of late but could contest the finish in this weak race. RIPSNORTER has only raced three times so has scope for improvement and is not out of it. SALAGADOOLA is not reliable but has a place chance. MEDITERRANEANFLAME showed improvement and could have more to offer.

Race 4
Race Summary: FAIRY KNIGHT has not been at his very best of late but does have a very good record on the Polytrack and looks hard to oppose. USA'S HOPE clearly likes this surface and should be right there at the finish yet again. MR FOX, THE AFRICA HOUSE and ANATOLIAN SILVER are not reliable but could battle it out for minor money. IMAGINABLE is in very good shape but does have it all to do at these weights.

Race 5
Race Summary: A very open looking race and it might pay to go very wide in all the exotics, especially the Pick 6. ALESIA'S LOVE has shown improvement of late and could be ready for a winning turn. Stable companion KINGS AGAIN is doing well this year and can contest the finish. PRISCILLA MAISEY has been a disappointment of late but is not out of it. POLYNOMIAL is not reliable but is quite capable of winning. AVERNIAN GODDESS and SCHIPOLE make their local debuts and would not be surprise winners. MAKE BELIEVE is progressing well enough to win a race of this nature.

Race 6
Race Summary: GREEN ISLE suffered her first defeat in three starts on this surface when an unlucky third last time out. She is better over further but does look the right one with luck needed in running. UMZOLOZOLO is in good form and can contest the finish again. JET LAVISH makes her local debut and could improve. JAMBO SANA is having a good year and can get involved with the finish yet again. KAMAKAZI seems better than a modest last run. FLOWER FESTIVAL is usually competitive and has a place chance. LADY BOMBER is improving and is clearly not out of it.

Race 7
Race Summary: A competitive looking race. OUTBACK EXPRESS is consistent and deserves a winning turn. MYSTIC VISION makes his local debut and could be capable of a first victory trying this surface. MONT TREMBLANT was a disappointment when backed to win on local debut but is capable of improvement. PICK A POMODORO and BUGLE have both shown improvement of late and are not out of it. AETHELWULF does seem better than his last run and could earn some money.

Race 8
Race Summary: A difficult last race and once again it could pay to go very wide in the Pick 6. SAN QUINTIN did not show his best last time out but is capable of winning a race like this if showing his best form. ALADO'S PRIDE holds his form very well for his age and would not be a surprise winner. A BIT CHILLY has been in good form of late and has claims. THREE CHEERS has not been at her best but could earn some money. GINGER DELIGHT tries further and should contest the finish. FLASH LIGHTNING is better this distance and is not out of it. PARDON ME and recent maiden winner KING OF VICTORY are worth considering.
