Race 1
Race Summary:
SON OF RAFEEF has been well backed and has run well in two sprints so far. He should go the distance and could open his account at the third time of asking. It could get close between THE MARQUEE and CHRISTMAS CACTUS. The former has gone close in both starts and is looking to make amends. He should prefer the extra, but CHRISTMAS CACTUS wasn't far off him when making a fair debut and has drawn better. GREATEST HIT, by Canford Cliffs, turned in a fair debut so must be watched. More can earn.

Selections:

#3 Son Of Rafeef, #4 Christmas Cactus, #8 The Marquee, #7 Greatest Hit

Race 2
Race Summary:
Top class race. ROYAL VICTORY is best in at the weights and after needing his last run should prove a big threat even if prepping for the R6-million Betway Summer Cup. ON MY HONOUR stayed on well to finish ahead of ROYAL VICTORY in his comeback run and is set to come on nicely. CLAW turned in a game performance from the front and gets another chance to prove himself in this company. Champion stayer KING PELLES did little wrong when dropped to just 1200m last time. He could take it to the wire. SEE IT AGAIN will be the one to watch. He has the class to win before a tilt at the Summer Cup.

Selections:

#6 See It Again, #1 King Pelles, #4 On My Honour, #2 Royal Victory

Race 3
Race Summary:
QUEEN OF THE AIR is better than her last try when prominent after a rest. She looks well placed and stripping fitter should have every chance. ROY'S GRACE has gone close at this venue previously. She has a much better draw than in her last start and could be right there. RUN FOR PEACE has tried different tactics and in her penultimate start ran on well to finish fourth against males. She has gate one and needs to be taken seriously. DEE DAY has claims on form but has drawn widest. SUGAR BABY LOVE and CAPTAIN'S JET could have improvement to come.

Selections:

#7 Queen Of The Air, #3 Roy's Grace, #1 Run For Peace, #5 Captain's Jet

Race 4
Race Summary:
Competitive start to TAB'S Pick 6. FINE WINE has been knocking at the door and could get rewarded. She was a beaten favourite but it was a creditable performance last time. SKIPPER O'MALLEY stayed on when tried over further on the Polytrack last time. She could improve back on the turf. INTRO lacked a finish on the Polytrack in her last start but that run is best forgotten. She looked dangerous the last time she raced on the grass at this venue. LUCKY THIRTEEN finally gets a decent draw and could get lucky. SHEEZAROCKET must have a say too.

Selections:

#5 Fine Wine, #3 Skipper O'malley, #7 Intro, #1 Lucky Thirteen

Race 5
Race Summary:
HARUN AL RASHID needs to be respected even if racing after a 100-day rest. He ran out an easy winner at this venue a few starts back. ATTABOY was beaten in a close finish when stepped up in class last time. He is knocking at the door, but has drawn wide and needs timing. WHITE SEAHORSE's last run from a wide stall is best ignored. He has drawn well and could be in the firing line. PAPA C should prefer the drop in distance from his last start. He races for a stable that has been in good form. BEACH PALACE and QUERARI'S DREAM need to be respected as well.

Selections:

#4 Harun Al Rashid, #9 Attaboy, #3 White Seahorse, #5 Papa C

Race 6
Race Summary:
Promising youngster COGNAC is out to make it three wins on the trot. The bay Rafeef colt has run on well to win and should appreciate the distance but a wide draw is a concern. Fellow three-year-old SAFE TRAVEL ran a nice race after a rest over 1600m. He could prefer the drop in trip and could keep going. Watch out for DRICUS who needed his local debut. He has shown potential and could be a big threat. RUN FOREST RUN has done little wrong and must also be considered. He should have every chance from a plum gate.

Selections:

#5 Safe Travel, #12 Cognac, #3 Dricus, #2 Run Forest Run

Race 7
Race Summary:
DARK MATTER proved herself in a higher class last time. She looks well placed but a wide draw is never easy to overcome especially in a sprint. SUMMER WINTER needed her last start. She knows the track now and could get into contention. CRAFTY CROFTY benefits from a 4kg apprentice claim again and could be hard to peg back having been given stall one. She has run two good races at the track to date. The Andre Nel stable mates SHIPINDANI and CALL ME JANE need to be considered. The latter is in fair form but the former with Serino Moodley up may be the stable elect.

Selections:

#9 Dark Matter, #1 Crafty Crofty, #5 Summer Winter, #4 Shipindani

Race 8
Race Summary:
KwaZulu-Natal's horse of the season GLADATORIAN is back. The mesmerising winner of the HKJC Champions Cup has bigger fish to fry and is prepping but could still get there. Another star DAVE THE KING is unbeaten in three starts over the distance and must be respected even if heading for bigger tests. CATS PAJAMAS can take advantage. He ran a fair race after a rest and is weighted to run a massive race. SOHO STAR is useful and from gate one could get into the money. GIMMEANOTHERCHANCE should be there if finding his best form.

Selections:

#8 Cats Pajamas, #6 Dave The King, #7 Gladatorian, #1 Soho Star

Race 9
Race Summary:
BARRY DU GROND caught the eye again last time. That was on the Polytrack but he has won on the grass track at this venue, so should turn in another solid performance. IN THE BAG has been improving as well and his form lines are decent. He is back from a rest but has run well fresh before. PHAKA IMALI and PHUTULICIOUS have been dropping in ratings and must pop up one of these days. UNICORN ALERT had valid excuses in his last start and should improve as well. NOW I GOT YOU is always capable of earning.

Selections:

#2 Barry Du Grond, #8 In The Bag, #3 Phaka Imali, #7 Phutulicious

Race 10
Race Summary:
COPACABANA can remain unbeaten in her third try over the distance. She boasts a good finish and a 2.5kg apprentice claim should boost her chances. SAINT BRIGID has a bit to find with COPACABANA but should improve on her local debut. She has a wide draw to contend with. MOUNTAINSOFTHEMOON has been staying on and could step up on her form back on turf. She is not one to take lightly at the weights. DE VLUGGE wasn't disgraced in her first post maiden outing. QUEEN OF PEARLS could be anything on local debut.

Selections:

#1 Copacabana, #10 Saint Brigid, #2 Mountainsofthemoon, #7 De Vlugge
