Race 1
Race Summary: Trainer Alan Greeff has a very strong hand in this race. GUY GIBSON has yet to run on the Polytrack but is weighted to win comfortably. THE AFRICA HOUSE has lost his way of late but also tries the Polytrack and could challenge his stable companion. CORAL CREEK is Greeff's third runner and he does like this surface but tackles a tough field. Gavin Smith-trained DONNY TEE is speedy and could try and make all. DAS GUTE ran well on local debut but takes on stronger. The other Smith-runners READY and GLOBAL STATE are capable of making the frame.
Selections:
#1 Guy Gibson, #4 The Africa House, #5 Ready, #7 Global State
Race 2
Race Summary: Some speedy talented fillies. PARIS LASS is weighted to beat her rivals and she is right at home over this track and trip. ELLORIX is also course and distance suited and will not go down without a fight. SYMBOL OF LOVE is better than her last run and she could make all the running if in the right mood. SONG OF MYSELF has a prior engagement but is not out of it if she runs in this race instead. KINGS AGAIN won on local debut but this is a tougher race. PROJECT RUNWAY might play a minor role.
Selections:
#2 Ellorix, #1 Paris Lass, #3 Symbol Of Love, #6 Kings Again
Race 3
Race Summary: DIAMOND JIM bumped a very good horse on debut and was not disgraced in third. He is sure to be wiser and could be the right one. RIVER FERN returns from a break after showing improvement when runner-up. That winner has won again and her trainer is in good form. KHICHDI and CAPTAIN CLEVER both make their local debut and would not be surprise winners. BANDMASTER is improving and can also get involved with the finish.
Selections:
#6 Diamond Jim, #5 River Fern, #1 Khichdi, #2 Captain Clever
Race 4
Race Summary: It is very hard to look past LANA VIEW and GLOBAL SCENE. LANA VIEW has improved on this surface and has more scope for improvement so gets the vote to score. GLOBAL SCENE has been threatening to win for some time now and this is yet another golden opportunity for her. BLIND FAITH is not reliable but did show improvement last time out and can contest the finish again.
Selections:
#1 Lana View, #2 Global Scene, #3 Blind Faith, #5 Go Dancing
Race 5
Race Summary: A very open looking handicap. GARDEN SUN is improving and was a very easy winner when last seen on this surface. HAARLEM has run in much better races than this and would not be a surprise winner on the Polytrack. A BIT CHILLY is in good form but does tend to lack a strong finish. BACK FOR MORE showed improvement last time out and could be a threat off this handicap mark. HAT MONTERA has shown progression of late and would not be a surprise winner. PARDON ME can also get involved with the finish.
Selections:
#2 Garden Sun, #3 A Bit Chilly, #6 Hat Montera, #5 Back For More
Race 6
Race Summary: HONORABLE MEMBER is in good form and is weighted to win but she may have to work hard to do so. FINAL TRY has run some nice races for trainer Alan Greeff and could get a soft lead in this line-up. JAMES FITZJAMES needed his recent runs and could improve. KEY NEWS makes his local debut and should improve. ROYAL CITY GIRL tackles her elders but she has shown promise and she could run well above her merit rating so should be included in all bets.
Selections:
#4 Honorable Member, #7 Royal City Girl, #1 Final Try, #2 James Fitzjames
Race 7
Race Summary: An interesting race that could be fought out by some promising three-year-olds. INSTAWORTHY was unsuccessful when taking a crack at some juvenile feature races but was never disgraced and he could be a real threat to his elders over this track and distance. ROYAL KINGDOM showed promise and is clearly better than his last run so can bounce back to score. SILVONIAN and LUCKY SPIRIT are in good shape but take on stronger this time. WINTER WARFARE and the improved HAIR TRIGGER can also get involved with the finish.
Selections:
#7 Instaworthy, #3 Royal Kingdom, #8 Augusta Rosso, #2 Lucky Spirit
Race 8
Race Summary: A very competitive last race. THUNDER MASTER is in good form but he does tend to race from far off the pace and always needs luck in running. CHARLIE MALONE and GUARDING THE WALL are both better than their last runs would suggest and are capable of winning a race of this nature. MARSHMALLOW likes this surface and could earn some money. RAVILIOUS liked the return to the grass and beat a good horse last week so must be respected for that. SHAMPIMPI showed some improvement last time out and could make the frame.
Selections:
#3 Thunder Master, #8 Ravilious, #1 Charlie Malone, #2 Guarding The Wall
Best Win: #GUY GIBSON
Best Value Bet:
Best Longshot: #2 GARDEN SUN
