Race 1
Race Summary:
There are well bred newcomers in the line up - follow the betting markets closely. But BLACK EAGLE who was beaten in a close call last time could prove hard to catch. He may be looking for good ground. SUNSHINE SUPERMAN wasn't anywhere close to BLACK EAGLE but caught the eye on debut. He could come on in leaps and bounds. PRINCE OF EGYPT ran a decent race as well and must be considered for prize money again. IN MOTION showed pace on debut and could make good improvement having been gelded.

Selections:

#10 Black Eagle, #3 Sunshine Superman, #1 Sendai, #4 Prince Of Egypt

Race 2
Race Summary:
IKO IKO has been a bit disappointing. He could pull off his maiden win any day now. DAY IN DAY OUT has shown enough to go well in this contest. He has blinkers fitted along with WAROFDYNAMITE who showed some potential in KwaZulu-Natal and who would have needed his last start. WALOYO YAMONI and PRINS JASPAR are well-bred sorts who may show more after needing their debut outings. POMP IT UP caught the eye in his debut. The 1000m would have been short and he should now show his true ability.

Selections:

#10 Pomp It Up, #6 Iko Iko, #5 Day In Day Out, #1 Smarten Up

Race 3
Race Summary:
GIMME WHAT I WANT did well from the widest gate on debut. She ran on well to take third and looks well placed, even if having drawn widest again. TIMELINE has been a bit unreliable but she has drawn well this time. HUSUNI KUBWA showed something in her penultimate start and also has an ideal stall. AMAYAH has a superb pedigree and could suddenly show up in her second start.

Selections:

#12 Gimme What I Want, #8 Amayah, #3 Husuni Kubwa, #2 Timeline

Race 4
Race Summary:
QUEEN REGENT has run two good races in a row and can get it right. She is bred for further but has done little wrong in sprints. SOUTH OF FRANCE is another daughter of Querari going the right way. She showed signs of inexperience when beaten as favourite last time. She has drawn widest but could still be up to it. LA LANDONNE ran a fair race on debut when a few lengths off QUEEN REGENT and could prove to be a threat with the run under her belt. Another to keep an eye on is HOMING PIGEON who found her debut too short and should go further.

Selections:

#6 Queen Regent, #12 South Of France, #8 La Landonne, #11 Homing Pigeon

Race 5
Race Summary:
NOTE TO SELF has a tougher test on handicap debut after winning his maiden as he liked. But he is well bred and should relish the extra. He has drawn in stall No 1. THE NIGHT FERRY showed good resolve to win from the front after a rest. He is a lightly raced older horse and could be up to the challenge. MELA STRENGTH keeps on running decent races without winning. He has drawn widest and will need the race run to suit. TURBO TWENTY is by classy stallion Canford Cliffs and is now tried over 1600m. He could make good improvement. PRINCE OF TIBET has a say.

Selections:

#1 Note To Self, #8 The Night Ferry, #10 Mela Strength, #4 Turbo Twenty

Race 6
Race Summary:
AFRICAN MEMOIR has only had three starts to date but has improved each time. He beat youngster Nightrain in good style and looks capable of following up. But he meets another smart new three-year-old in IN A TIMELY MANNER and could have a race on his hands. The latter impressed on debut with a strong finish and being an improving sort may not mind the drop in distance. ESCARPMENT is a tough older campaigner that recently found his best form when well supported. He could reward followers again. RATTLESNAKE and BARNEY MCGREW could be dangerous at best too.

Selections:

#1 African Memoir, #7 In A Timely Manner, #6 Escarpment, #4 Rattlesnake

Race 7
Race Summary:
THE US OF A is in hot form and looking to make it three wins in a row. But he is up in class and will need to find more to pass this test. NORDIC QUEST came back to form last time. He is best weighted and if not minding the outside gate could get the job done. ARCTIC WIZARD enjoyed a light weight last time but it was a smart performance. He could follow up with his confidence boosted. But GIMMELIGHTNING could have his measure at the weights, especially if he jumps on terms. He has drawn well. ELUSIVE WINTER is lightning fast and is not one to discount.

Selections:

#8 Nordic Quest, #1 Gimmelightning, #4 The Us Of A, #2 Arctic Wizard

Race 8
Race Summary:
Young fillies WISH LIST and VIVA LA VIDA are progressing nicely and could make decent handicap debuts. But it won't be easy taking on hard knocking handicappers on soggy ground, especially over the extra. RAHHABBA could be tough to peg back. She was not disgraced behind Swiatek from a wide draw. That filly has come out to win again and RAHHABBA has drawn well this time. APRICITY could be anything. She has improved with each start but has drawn widest. DREAM SEARCHER was in good nick before a rest and has drawn well. KLEINZEE, HAMPSTEAD HEATH and LADY LOOK ALIKE are capable too.

Selections:

#7 Wish List, #6 Viva La Vida, #1 Rahhabba, #13 Apricity

Race 9
Race Summary:
An Open Maiden to end. CHANCE ENCOUNTER has solid sprint form and on pedigree should relish the distance. He must rate as the form choice. But there are more open to improvement. FUTURE FREE is a half-brother to champion Eight On Eighteen and he caught the eye last time. He was a bit unlucky not to go close. GALLIC FORGE finished ahead of FUTURE FREE and was beaten in a close finish. He has drawn well and should be right there. TIME HONORED, JANNEMAN WAT KAN, FEAR OF FIRE and MAGNUS THE GOOD all look to have some potential.

Selections:

#7 Chance Encounter, #9 Future Free, #3 Gallic Forge, #8 Magnus The Good
