Race Summary: This could be a mighty contest as there are horses with star-studded pedigrees. CAESAR'S RANSOM is a half-brother to champion mare Captain's Ransom, ASTRONOMICAL BOY is related to top-class racehorses COSMIC SPEED and COSMIC HIGHWAY and it doesn't end there. SARDINIA BAY ran a cracker behind a promising sort and may come out firing after a rest and gelding. MAGICAL PLACE wasn't hard pressed but finished a useful second on debut and could attract support even though drawn wider out. Exciting race, follow the betting markets closely.

Race Summary: WANDER DUNE has a terrific Australian pedigree and could be the one to watch on debut. There are other well bred newcomers in the line up as well. But NEBULOUS has run two good races in a row and having drawn well could open her account. She should prefer the longer distance. MEGHAN'S DIAMOND has done little wrong in her two outings. She has drawn alongside NEBULOUS and should make a race of it. HAZEL GREEN found 1000m a bit short last time. She should appreciate the extra and further in time to come, and could be in the hunt for prize money.

Race Summary: BEACH VERSE ran a much-improved race second time out even though encountering heavy going. She looks to be on the up and must have a decent chance at the win. CHICKASAW also caught the eye on the same day. These well-bred fillies could take it to the wire. SPLASH OF COLOUR was slightly disappointing last time but could prefer the drop in distance. A 1.5kg apprentice claim should also boost her chances. UP IN FLAMES and PITERAQ give the impression they are looking for further but both must be considered for exotic bets.

Race 4
Race Summary: FUN ZONE is best weighted. She has turned in three solid performances in feature events and would be deserving but she will need the race run to suit. SWIATEK was given a plum stall and didn't disappoint. She has matured and looks capable of following up. Stablemate GOODNESSGRACIOUSME is highly regarded and is back from her stint in KwaZulu-Natal where she didn't do too badly. She could get back to winning ways. KAMCHATKA is not one to ignore. If she doesn't mind the drop in trip she could take advantage from stall No 1. More can earn.

Race Summary: ONCIDIUM is a young filly with scope. She won her maiden well and could make a successful handicap debut. Plenty hard knockers to test her, however. BECKY SHARP has sprinted well and must have more wins to come and perhaps the step up in distance could work in her favour now. IM THE BUZZ is in good nick and is back over her best distance. She should be right there again. But there should not be much to choose between her and SAINT BRIGID. The latter wasn't far off the last time they met and is now better weighted. NILE THE BOSS needs to overcome her wide gate to be in with a say.

Race Summary: Tough race. AIR RAID has won two of his last three. He is talented and may just be up to the task, even if having more to do at the weights. PLEASE BE TRUE also only just got the job done in his last start. He appears held by AIR RAID but if in the right mood could prove otherwise. CAPTAIN WEST has done well from wider gates and has now been given a decent stall. He should also have every chance. LANDOFTHERISINGSUN has been impressive in winning his last two easily. He is highly regarded and may race fresh enough to prove effective over the shorter distance.

Race 7
Race Summary: GOLDEN ANGEL probably went a bit far in her last start. She has run well over this distance and could finally bag a win at this venue. SUPREME FATE caught the eye in her post-maiden outing and gives the impression she will go the extra distance. A wide draw is a concern. BENEATH THE CLOUDS has won her last two jumping from gate No 11 and you guessed it, she has been given the same stall. But this is a bit tougher. TAKE IT AS RED lacked a finish last time but that was in a high-quality race and she needs to be respected in this contest. TAP SHOES must have a say too.

Race Summary: SHE'S MY WORLD rates the one to beat after running well in two Listed feature events. She has shown class and doesn't appear badly weighted on handicap debut. MARITZBURG MEMORY is in hot form herself and could make a race of it. A 1.5kg apprentice claim could offset her hike in merit ratings. MUSIC OF THE NIGHT stepped up on her form to win a Class 5 handicap last time and must be considered for prize money along with BETWEEN THE LINES, whose 1000m maiden win has already been franked. LHASA and CAPTAIN's DESTINY aren't to be taken lightly.
