Race 1
Race Summary:
Aussie import ROCKANROLLIN showed fair potential on debut. He is bred to enjoy more ground but could nevertheless make the improvement needed to score second time out. MARCUS AURELIUS has drawn better and could prove to be a big threat. He rolled along nicely to finish just out of the places on debut but should relish the extra distance. BLACK EAGLE wasn't too far off highly regarded stablemate Saudi Cat and is another on who to keep tabs, even if drawn toward the outside. DAY IN DAY OUT and BEHAVE HARRIS could find minor money on form.

Selections:

#8 Rockanrollin, #3 Marcus Aurelius, #11 Black Eagle, #4 Sunshine Superman

Race 2
Race Summary:
QUEEN REGENT suddenly sparked, running on well to finish third with an inexperienced apprentice up. JP van de Merwe is back aboard and she should have every chance as she looks well placed. WISH LIST was beaten in a close call on debut and won't need to improve much to escape the maidens at the second jump. She is bred for a bit further. PRECOCIOUS didn't appreciate being stepped up in her last start when the going came up soft. She should relish being dropped in distance and has drawn ideally so must be afforded the utmost respect. STAR WORLD had a wide draw on debut. First-timers in it too.

Selections:

#10 Queen Regent, #4 Wish List, #1 Precocious, #6 Star World

Race 3
Race Summary:
Small field full of quality sprinters. TIME FO ORCHIDS is best in at the weights and very capable on her day but she is returning after a break along with MEU CAPITANO. The latter also has solid speed form and the last time he raced over the track and trip he finished an unlucky short-head second in a feature. GEM KING, however, met one of the best around in Tenango. He didn't run to form over 1600m last time but could bounce back in this race. DUMBLEDORE is in hot form and after running into traffic problems is looking to turn the form around with KAIBOY, another useful sort.

Selections:

#3 Dumbledore, #5 Kaiboy, #1 Dean Street

Race 4
Race Summary:
RARE EARTH gave signs she could be looking for the distance after staying on in her last start. She should have every chance lining up against a field like this. MARINE MERCHANT showed potential earlier and did run a much better race in his last start. He will need to overcome the widest stall to win it. RED STATE has been making progress over shorter. She is out of a Mambo In Seattle mare and could be better over the distance. FORT IMPREZA is taking his time in coming to hand but his last two runs entitle him to some respect. NOT WANTED is lightly raced and has scope as well.

Selections:

#9 Marine Merchant, #8 Rare Earth, #5 Red State, #4 Fort Impreza

Race 5
Race Summary:
The two juveniles IN A TIMELY MANNER and FOLLOW YOUR HEART could both prove themselves in open company on handicap debuts. The former won his debut with a strong finish and is bred to relish the distance. FOLLOW YOUR HEART beat what looked a fair bunch in his first start after gelding and on pedigree should appreciate the extra as well. FIRINGONALLENGINES had his confidence boosted last time and could take it to the wire again. OZARK and MELA STRENGTH have not been far off and need to be considered. More can improve to earn prize money.

Selections:

#10 In A Timely Manner, #9 Follow Your Heart, #7 Firingonallengines, #11 Mela Strength

Race 6
Race Summary:
Probably the toughest race on the day. RAHHABBA finished ahead of ONI SAN and SUPREME FATE and could confirm the form but she has drawn wide again. ONI SAN is overdue but needs things to go her way. SUPREME FATE ran on well in that race and is looking to turn the form around in her third start after a rest. OCOTILLO wasn't far off her the time they met. She won her maiden well and has drawn a lot better this time. LA DIVINA and CHAMPAGNE KISSES are speedy sorts and both come into the race in winning form. GOLDEN ANGEL (draw No 1) could prefer the drop to 1400m.

Selections:

#1 Golden Angel, #13 Rahhabba, #9 Supreme Fate, #11 La Divina

Race 7
Race Summary:
LOVERS LANE is in good form and should have every chance from a decent stall but will have to fight off a few at the weights. CHAMPAGNE MAC ran a decent race in his penultimate start and could get his head in front if the going isn't too soft. GRAVITY is also in good nick but will need to find a bit more to add to his tally. TAMBOURINE MAN was on a roll before striding short in his last start. He must be respected on his return. BLACK PATH finished ahead of WINTERONTHEGREEN when they met but the latter had excuses and looks capable of going well in this.

Selections:

#4 Lovers Lane, #8 Winteronthegreen, #7 Champagne Mac, #10 Gravity

Race 8
Race Summary:
Two-year-old INSIDE VOICE is improving nicely and won a nice race beating a horse that didn't take long to win thereafter. She could make a winning handicap debut. EASY MONEY came in for solid betting support last time but may have gone a bit too fast on a soft track. She could be hard to catch back over 1000m. PEACE OF MIND is knocking hard at the door and she may not let anything get by her this time. THE CHARLESTON gave signs she could be coming back to best again and must be respected along with honest stablemates POETIC PRINCESS and LHASA.

Selections:

#7 Inside Voice, #4 Easy Money, #6 Peace Of Mind, #3 The Charleston
