Race Summary: Competitive Work Riders Maiden to start. DUCHESS OF PALOMA ran on well to finish in the money after a rest. She can build on that effort stripping fitter and has the best of the draws. JOUEUR DE FLUTE is equally best in at the weights on official ratings. He has run decent races at this venue and now gelded can make the required improvement. JOHNNY DRAMA came in for support and ran a much improved race when switched to the sprint distance. He is a son of What A Winter and should have every chance from a decent stall. MARINE MERCHANT and STU'S GIRL have shown potential.

Race 2
Race Summary: GOOD FOR YOU should be hard to beat if taking to the track. He was fourth in the Grade 3 Splashout Cape Of Good Hope Nursery and his overall form is decent. There are well-bred first-timers in the line up. DIFFERENT WORLD is a R1.3M son of One World but stablemate WORLD WARRIOR, another by the smashing stallion, could be the stable elect on riding arrangements. RANDOLPH HEARST is a beautifully bred son of Gimmethegreenlight who went for a cool R1.5 and he too must be watched.

Race Summary: CLIFFSCAPE has run two decent races to date. She looks to have the pace needed to get a good position in her first try around the left-handed track. But again there are newcomers that need to be watched. FLYING SOUTH is a daughter of What A Winter and there is every chance she will be quick. MRS STORMIATRIX has drawn well and the filly by Vercingetorix is another that won't need to be a star to win on debut. MARKETA has a quality pedigree too but has drawn a bit wide. ELECTROMAGNETISM and UNA THE UNICORN have room for improvement.

Race 4
Race Summary: POWERANDTHEGLORY should be ready to give of his best. He needed his last run and came from too far back then. He is highly regarded and must improve after recently being gelded. CAPTAIN WEST was gelded a few starts back and he too has shown talent. If overcoming his wide gate he could be in the fight. MAURITIUS KESTREL can't be discounted. He finished ahead of POWERANDTHEGLORY and is better off at the weights although the latter has a significantly better draw this time. WORLD OF PLEASURE races for a stable in hot form, he can get into the money.

Race 5
Race Summary: Probably the most competitive race on the day. GOLDEN ANGEL is taking on males and has not dropped in ratings as some of the others but she can step up on her form back at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. OZARK has had to deal with some wide draws and could dramatically improve from a plum gate this time. GRIPEN is a maiden but he was only just beaten in a winners' race last time and could finally score. Watch out for SUN DAZED who has run with much stronger including in his last start. He will, however, need to overcome a wide stall. IM THE BUZZ and BANK STREET can pop up.

Race 6
Race Summary: REGULATION is highly regarded and could live up to the expectations over a distance that should be ideal. RED DAWN is also on the up. He is going for three wins on the bounce and the gelded son of underrated stallion Horizon could be up to the task. DUBBELOSIX ran out the form winner of his last start. He has scope but will need to find a bit more at this next level. CONGRESSMAN is a strong frontrunner that could go all the way again if ready after a rest. The rest of the field, namely KWITE A KING, CHOLLIMA and DIAMOND ROCK, all ran decent races recently and should make things tough.

Race Summary: FUN ZONE has been consistently thereabouts. She needs to find more for her next win but is now back over what could be her best track and trip. LADY LOOK ALIKE has run two gallant races from bad draws and would be deserving. She has drawn a lot better this time and has won at this venue. MY ONLY WEAKNESS turned in a good finish to win over shorter and now sharpened up could follow up even if having drawn a bit wide. FAMILY POWER was a bit unlucky last time but has drawn widest and will have her work cut out. AMONG THE CLOUDS could get the timing right.

Race 8
Race Summary: CHAMPAGNE MAC ran a decent race when switched to this 1000m. He hasn't drawn as well this time but has master rider Richard Fourie up again. COUNTRY TIME made good progress to finish runner-up in her last start and can now be included in all bets. ELECTRIC FEELS is ultra-consistent and could take advantage having drawn well. GRAVITY has been costly but hopefully will make full use of the best starting stall, that being draw No 1. OVER THE ATLANTIC isn't consistent but she should open her account soon. More can get into it.
