Race 1
Race Summary: CAPTAINSHIP showed good improvement when fitted with blinkers. He should go better in his second try over the course and distance with the only worry a wide draw. TOP GUN has drawn a bit better and has also run some decent races. The drop in distance could suit. Watch out for PAVED IN GOLD who looked a bit lost on the poly on his debut outing. He should know more about it now and from a decent gate could take advantage. WHEREVERILAYMYHAT and SAMUEL LONGSWORD have shown the potential to take home decent prizes.

Selections:
#9 Captainship, #6 Top Gun, #3 Paved With Gold, #2 Whereverilaymyhat

Race 2
Race Summary: Highveld raider ZALTA STAR made headway after coming from well back last time. She gives the impression she could do with the extra distance and could make a winning local debut. GOT THE FEVER ran second to Warrior Royale who easily won her handicap debut and was then close up against males in her last start. She could overcome her wide gate and open her account. NAUTICAL LANDING ran another decent race on the poly and if bringing the form to the turf could be harder to catch on the turf this time. GRAND OCCASION had excuses last time and should be in the money.

Selections:
#3 Zalta Star, #8 Got The Fever, #6 Nautical Landing, #5 Grand Occasion

Race 3
Race Summary: TYRCONNELL ran a promising second to Selukwe who is on the up. But he was then beaten a short head over the same course and distance last time as favourite. It could be third time lucky. Three-year-old I SALUTE YOU didn't disgrace himself in open company after winning his maiden in good style. He could have more to come. LUCKY DOLLAR has run some fair races over the course and distance but has yet to win on the turf track. He has dropped in ratings. MVELELO, stablemate to TYRCONNELL, suffered a saddle slip and fatigue in his last start. He should improve.

Selections:
#2 I Salute You, #6 Tyrconnell, #4 Lucky Dollar, #3 Mvelelo

Race 4
Race Summary: JAZZ FESTIVAL has previously beaten both GLOBAL MOVEMENT and SHOTGUN WILLIE and could do so again as he is in good nick, but he will need the race run to suit. GLOBAL MOVEMENT produced a good finish to win his last and a two-point hike in ratings may not be enough to stop him from notching up another victory. SHOTGUN WILLIE doesn't appear the most consistent around but won a thriller at this venue beating IRON WILL and needs to be taken seriously. The latter has lost form but it won't be a surprise to see him suddenly dictate matters.

Selections:
#8 Jazz Festival, #5 Global Movement, #7 Shotgun Willie, #1 Basie Raakvat

Race 5
Race Summary: GIVERS GRACE found her best form and won her last race suggesting more to come. But she is not consistent and needs to have things go her way. RAINBOW OF ROSES suddenly pulverised males last time and may be on the up now. She has run well over this distance and may not mind the drop in trip from her last start. HOT STRIKE is not one to ignore. She is holding form and could mow down her field if the pace is right. QUEEN AMINA could be anything. She didn't beat much in the maidens but has room for good improvement. However, a wide draw, could see her run on too late.

Selections:
#3 Givers Grace, #6 Rainbow Of Roses, #10 Hot Strike, #14 Queen Amina

Race 6
Race Summary: BEVIES DELIGHT had SHIPHOLIA and subsequent winner Russian Doll behind her when beaten 0.60 lengths by No Filter who came out to beat a good field of males last time. That could be the form line to be with. BEVIES DELIGHT also has the benefit of jumping from stall No 1. SHIPHOLIA is looking for that elusive first win on the turf and could finally do it. She is weighted to turn the form around with BEVIES DELIGHT. Watch out for CAPTAIN'S CHRISTY who ran a fair race in the Betway National Colour Stakes at Turffontein recently. Stablemate GET IN THE Q must have a say as well.

Selections:
#1 Bevies Delight, #6 Shipholia, #7 Captain's Christy, #8 Get In The Q

Race 7
Race Summary: REGENERATION could be the one to watch. She won her maiden in style and the daughter of Danon Platina could be well placed on her handicap debut. STATE SECRET showed her poly form was all wrong as she bounced back to best when switching to the turf. She should relish returning to the distance over which she easily won her maiden. MISS PAGET was beaten as favourite on the poly last time and it could be time for her to have a go on turf again. She looks capable of better than she has shown recently. FORT J'ADORE and COPACABANA need to be respected as well.

Selections:
#7 Regeneration, #4 State Secret, #5 Miss Paget, #8 Fort J'Adore

Race 8
Race Summary: Big field and competitive handicap to end, get your Quartet bets on. NEITHERHERENORTHER is on a roll having won two in a row and his last win on the turf was impressive. He now takes a step up in class and will need to find more. SHAMPOMPO SHAMPIZI is dangerous over the distance. He had things go wrong last time and needs to be taken seriously. PHUTULICIOUS wasn't beaten far when finishing ahead of MASTER JOSH last time and from draw No 1 should have every chance. DIANI is also capable and could show up well from draw No 2. KITCHAKAL has disappointed but it could be the right race.

Selections:
#7 Kitchakal, #8 Neitherherenorther, #1 Phutulicious, #2 Diani

Best Win: #7 REGENERATION
Best Value Bet: #7 KITCHAKAL
Best Longshot: #7 KITCHAKAL
