Race 1
Race Summary: SWEET AND TRUE has run well in both her starts. She may well just be a little better than her older rivals. KING OF QUEEN has been unlucky not to win one of her three recent runner-up performances and should be right there at the finish yet again. CALL TO GLORY has been expensive to follow but tries the Polytrack and would not be a surprise winner. It is very hard to see anything else winning this race. HAT HOT HAT and REGAZZO GRANDE could battle it out for some minor money.

Race 2
Race Summary: HANGING ROCK was a disappointment in that he has yet to win a race but makes his local debut and could score. He tries the Polytrack and is not well drawn. Stable companion REUNION HOTSPOT showed improvement on local debut but did not repeat it last time out. SEASIDE TRIP was caught too far back after being slowly away last time out but is better drawn this time and can contest the finish. SANKOFA is battling to win but could earn some minor money. KEENONKELLY has been disappointing in the Eastern Cape but can earn some minor money. There was not much between QUEEN OF JAZZ and MILLION REASONS last time out and both should be right there at the finish.

Race 3
Race Summary: A very weak race. There is not too much difference between WATCHMYTAIL, SUNDROP and MILLENNIUM DANCER on exposed form. SUNDROP has been the most consistent of the three, but WATCHMYTAIL gets the narrow vote to score. SUNDROP is in good form and should be right there at the finish. MILLENNIUM DANCER is improving and was not too far behind SUNDROP last month and is clearly not out of it. It is hard to see the other battling maidens win this but perhaps LOVE SONG could improve with Richard Fourie in the irons.

Race 4
Race Summary: A very competitive handicap and it is best to go wide in all the exotics. FOREST SPY showed his best when winning last week but a 3-point penalty will make his task tougher. AADEHYA has been unreliable of late but could try and make all from the front. ALLENDE makes his local debut and would not be a surprise winner. WARM WINTER NITE and PASHTUNWALI are both better than their recent runs suggest and deserve respect. GREAT TIMES has been consistent of late and is not out of it. ARTURO failed to justify the betting support last time out but does have a place chance.

Race 5
Race Summary: Champion East Cape sprinter CRUISE CONTROL is back on patrol and although clearly at very best over 1000m he is also not easy to beat over this distance. Jockey Louie Mxothwa has an excellent record aboard him and he will be hard to catch. CLIFF TOP is consistent and can contest the finish yet again. FIREALLEY did not show on this surface last time out but could play a minor role. SMORGASBORD has been unreliable of late but could improve on the Polytrack. INHERIT THE RAIN and EVIES FIRST are course-and-distance suited and capable of earning some more money.

Race 6
Race Summary: YOU WIN AGAIN showed of what she is capable with a wide-margin win in a handicap last time out. The handicapper lifted her merit rating up by 8 points and she is not well drawn but can score again. MIDNIGHT CRYSTAL has improved of late and has a place chance. SEA OF TEARS gives of her best and could earn some more money. STATE OF MIND is in good form and can contest the finish yet again. COLORAMA seems better than the last run and has a place chance. DAWN OF GOLD likes this surface and is not out of it.

Race Summary: Perhaps, another race to go wide in the exotics such as the Pick 6. GODFATHER is not reliable but could win on local debut after a change of trainer. THE CHARIOTEER is holding his form well and should be right in the mix of things. MASKED VIGILANTE was caught too far back on local debut but could do better trying the Polytrack this time. CLAP OF THUNDER and FUJISAN have place chances. CHARLIE MALONE has been disappointing of late but has a winning chance against these rivals.

Race 8
Race Summary: We thought some of the earlier races were difficult but this one is just as tough to find a winner. GUERRA has been runner-up in two of his last three starts and has Richard Fourie in the irons so gets a narrow vote. JASPERO is distance suited and can earn some money. DOWNING SEVEN is unreliable but is also not out of it. INDY VIEW drops in class and could be of some value against these rivals. ATKINSON GRIMSHAW reminded us of what he is capable with a good win last time out. PATH OF CHOICE is very consistent on this surface. SAND BANK, HAWK CIRCLE and GUNSMOKE can also get involved with the finish.
