Race 1
Race Summary: MY BOY LOLLIPOP made a fair debut when second to a more experienced sort. He ought to improve and if taking to the poly will go close. BUZZ BOMB is another juvenile trying the synthetic surface. He caught the eye running on well to finish third when tried over this longer distance in the Cape and rates a serious contender. GORGEOUS DUDE should test his younger rivals. He has been improving with each start and could be anything on the poly. ALWAYS SHINING and MC DAZZLER can get into the money on form.

Selections:
#5 My Boy Lollipop, #7 Buzz Bomb, #6 Gorgeous Dude, #11 Always Shining

Race 2
Race Summary: COPACABANA was introduced to racing as a mature three-year-old and made a fair debut at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She is trying the turn but on running style should enjoy the track and trip. EXTRACTION overcame a wide draw after a rest and didn't give in, running a decent third. She must have a say but has drawn a bit wide on her poly debut. CITY LIGHTS has run some decent races but has had ample opportunities. She has drawn well and could, however, enjoy the surface. Both LADY SUREYYA and PITZUCHIM have the potential to take home prizes.

Selections:
#4 Copacabana, #8 Extraction, #3 City Lights, #9 Lady Sureyya

Race 3
Race Summary: CONVOCATION is in hot form and is looking to make it three in a row. She is switching to the poly but hasn't drawn best A 4kg apprentice claim could make things easier. RED ROSES TOO is hard to peg back on this surface. She has won her last two on the poly and is unbeaten over the track and trip. Watch out for THERE SHE GOES who has also run well over the track and trip previously. She races for a stable in good form. NOBLE STORM often pops up at a decent price if she is in the right frame of mind. Most are useful and it could be a tight finish.

Selections:
#6 Convocation, #2 Red Roses Too, #7 There She Goes, #4 Noble Storm

Race 4
Race Summary: LONGSWORD found best form recently and could have the run of the race from a favourable gate on poly debut, however, he is carded to race earlier. EXCEPT TEMPTATION and stable mate DOWN BY THE RIVER lost that competitive edge recently but both have shown fair ability in the past and have drawn well on poly debut so must be respected. MUSIC IS LIFE had things go wrong and his last run is best ignored. His next win is overdue and it could be his turn. Watch out for YAMADORI who has shown talent in the Cape.

Selections:
#2 Longsword, #1 Except Temptation, #4 Music Is Life, #3 Down By The River

Race 5
Race Summary: The Hollywood Syndicate could dominate with their two runners. PHAKA IMALI, who won his last start in good style, and PURPLE POWAHOUSE, who has been knocking at the door, have secured gates one and two respectively. The latter, with in-form Ant Mgudlwa in the irons, is back to his best track and trip and may get it right. The former has Richard Fourie up. GRANDDADDY PURPLE ran an encouraging race in his last start and should build on that from a better gate. MAC HARDY could be the dark horse. He needed his last and may be better on the poly. DARK TIDE could have a say.

Selections:
#2 Purple Powahouse, #1 Phaka Imali, #3 Granddaddy Purple, #4 Mac Hardy

Race 6
Race Summary: ULTRA QUICK finally found winning ways. He could start a streak. IRISH LUCK ran out an impressive winner. He is lightly raced and could improve more. CERULEAN DANCER has been showing good pace but has been a bit unlucky not to notch up another win on the Highveld. She takes on males but has drawn well and could give cheek. WINTER WAVES is never one to take lightly on the poly. He could mow them down. SWEEPER KEEPER is better than his last two but has drawn widest.

Selections:
#4 Ultra Quick, #5 Irish Luck, #3 Cerulean Dancer, #8 Winter Waves

Race 7
Race Summary: CONTINENTALEXPRESS is coming right at the right time. He won his maiden with a good finish and may be on the up. He will, however, have his work cut out against hard knocking horses with solid poly credentials. WYATT'S CHOICE looked unlucky last time and the horse that beat him has come out to win again on the poly. STRAIGHT UP is holding form and finds himself weighted to run very well. BANZAI PIPELINE ran close to an up-and-coming sort but is now back to his best track. He should give them a hard time. FEW DOLLARS MORE has a say as well.

Selections:
#5 Continentalexpress, #6 Wyatt's Choice, #4 Straight Up, #3 Banzai Pipeline

Best Win: #5 MY BOY LOLLIPOP
Best Value Bet: #5 MY BOY LOLLIPOP
Best Longshot: #4 ULTRA QUICK
