They would've come on with the benefit of that experience so could improve to fight out the finish. POETIC PRINCESS and DUCHESS OF PALOMA are also likely to improve after pleasing introductory outings so could pose a threat. Watch the betting on the newcomers, of whom STILL SPARKLING, UP THE ANTE, COLD BREEZE and FURIOUS QUEEN are of particular interest.

Race Summary: TOTHEMOONANDBACK made an encouraging start for his new stable when staying on over 1400m to finish 4th on his return from a break. He ought to have tightened up with the benefit of that outing and should enjoy the extra 200m, so could be worth siding with. MASTER OF PARIS deserves a reward for his consistency but needs to prove he is as effective over this trip. BIG POPPA and LORD FYFIELD appeal most of the remainder.

Race Summary: ALLEZ MORIS is an unknown quantity over this distance, but he impressed when winning over 1800m last time. He earned a six-point penalty for that win but, with the likelihood of improvement over this trip, that may not be enough to prevent him from following up. SUDDEN SONG, SUPREME DREAM and LOVE IS A ROSE are consistent performers at this level and get the trip well, so are capable of posing a threat. GAINSFORD and CORONATION TIME complete the shortlist.

Race Summary: Tricky. MONT LOISIR has finished 2nd in both course-and-distance outings, so wouldn't be winning out of turn. WATER DRAGON and GROOVEJET have shown promise in both starts and remain open to improvement, which could also be said of WALK WITH ME who caught the eye on debut when staying on well to finish 4th over 1000m. The latter ought to be competitive with natural improvement expected and the step up to this distance likely to suit. Recently gelded GREENLAND has the form and experience to make his presence felt too. Watch the betting on well-bred newcomer BEER WITH THE BOYS.

Race Summary: A case can be made for most. AMONG THE CLOUDS and TICKET TO VEGAS acquitted themselves competitively off their current marks last time and should do so once more. WUGUG, GLEE CLUB, GO LIKE FLO and SENHORA VICTORIA are closely matched on the form of a recent course-and-distance meeting and there shouldn't be much separating them again on these revised weight terms. Consistent CALLMEGETRIX ought to remain competitive, despite conceding weight to all. MIA'S HARPER could have more to offer back over this extended trip. THREE COINS and F EIGHT aren't without a chance either.

Race Summary: Tricky. INNAMORARE and POMODORO'S JET are unbeaten over this course and distance. The former finished ahead of last start winning POMODORO'S JET over 1400m in February and is 2.5kg better off on these terms, so gets the nod in an otherwise open contest. The latter is also worse off with QUATERMAIN and RULE OF THUMB who are weighted to reverse the form of a recent 1600m defeat. LINDBERGH and PROMETTERE (3kg better off for 1.95 lengths) also renew rivalry with little to choose between the pair on these terms. TYRION LANNISTER, FIBONACCI and SOLOMONS SEAL can get involved too.

Race Summary: It could pay to follow the progress of PLUM PUDDING who, on pedigree, should have more to offer over the extra 200m after an authoritative last-start maiden win over 1600m. Race Summary: PREVALENCE has maintained form at this level off a higher mark (without success) and improved to finish a close-up 3rd over track and trip in his last start with blinkers fitted for the first time. Last-start maiden winners BLUE BAY and VOORLOOPERTJIE are improving 3yo geldings who should make their presence felt, while a competitive showing is also expected from DIAMOND ROCK who should enjoy stretching out to this trip. ABERDEEN and JOIN THE DOTS are others to consider.

He had NIGHT BOMBER and WINTER PEARL behind him that day and is good value to confirm that form, despite their weight turnaround. THE TINKERMAN, runner-up in consecutive course-and-distance outings, last-start winner WISSA'S ON FIRE and FORT RED, who returned to form with an encouraging 3rd under Richard Fourie last time, are all capable of giving cheek to the selection. Several others aren't out of it either!

Race Summary: Competitive concluding contest. HEAR MY VOICE has won consecutive outings with a tongue-tie fitted and could defy her latest 3-point penalty. The same applies to lightly raced NIGHT VIGIL who is relatively unexposed and remains open to improvement. GIMMETHEWALTZ, ON BOARD and LOVE SHACK also have the credentials to stake claims.
