Former Australian galloper Fortune Tree created an immediate impression with a decisive victory on his Malaysian debut and will be searching for back to back wins in the 1600m Class 4A contest on Sunday.
Bred in New Zealand and trained at the track by Richard Lim, FORTUNE TREE justified the short odds on offer with a two length win over 1275m on Track Two. Sent out as the even money favourite, the four year old received every chance on his resumption to racing from a six month break.
Fortune Tree goes up 2kg and despite his first attempt at 1600m, he should prove hard to beat.
