Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juvenile maidens though all but three have raced before. (10) CHEONGSAN DOLPUNG is the pick and probable favourite having run 2nd on debut over 1000M on September 27th, settling midfield from a wide draw and running on to narrowly miss out. The step up in trip can be in his favour and he can go one better. (2) PANGPANG DAERO was a front-running 2nd at 1000M on his debut back on August 16th. He draws well to be on pace again and Maia staying on is a plus. (1) DAEHAN SIDAE ran 4th on debut at 1000M on October 3rd, coming from a wide gate and beating a couple of today's rivals. He draws much better today and can be in the mix. (6) YONGBIGYO and (12) EUNPA BOOSTER others who hinted at ability on their respective debuts.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies only in this maiden. Since running last on debut (2) TRIPLE JENNY has gone close in each of five subsequent outings, most recently finishing 2nd over 1400M on October 3rd when on pace throughout. Drawn well here she can lead and today should be her day. (5) HAEMAJI may be figuring things out with a 2nd place on her latest at this distance on August 31st. On that form she is the danger. (6) OUTSTANDING GIRL hasn't shown much in the way of speed across three outings to date, but she does come in off a 4th place at 1200M on October 4th and in this company, she can aim to match or better. (3) DAEHAN COCO'S and (8) JINJUUI SIMJANG are others in the minor money hunt.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(8) WILD MAGIC was 3rd on debut in a filly only maiden over 1200M on October 4th when settling midfield and running on strongly, although well behind the winner. She takes a big step up in trip here but she should have come on for the run and may even be available at an each-way price. (3) ECLIPSE TANGO has been a beaten favourite a couple of times now and will need a line drawn through his latest at 1400M on September 28th when slow away. He is usually on pace and is worth another chance in this field. (5) BLUE DRAGON stepped up to this distance on September 27th and registered his best finish to date with a 3rd place and he should be there or thereabouts again. (1) WHITE ROMANCE and (4) COMMANDING LEAD are others in the frame.

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juvenile maidens with four of the eight making their racecourse debuts. We'll side with one of those newcomers, (3) POWER TREE. He won his trial, showing on pace throughout and stopping the clock in a good time. He draws nicely to be up top early again and can go all the way. If you prefer experience, (2) ISIMNYEON JIGI is the one. After a good trial, he ran well for 3rd on debut having been on the speed throughout. He should have come on for that run and will be challenging for the lead right from the start. Expect him to be the market's choice. The rest of the experience is unconvincing, so we return to the first timers. (7) WORLD FIGHTER MAN was a quick 2nd in his most recent trial and if he brings that form to the races, he can be a factor. (8) YOUNGYOUNG BRAVO and (6) HUIMANG SPEED also look to have some ability.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(2) SAMJEONG LADY has mixed her form a bit but when she has had trouble it has been at 1300M and when drawn wide. She draws great today and has two wins and a 3rd in four outings at 1200M. She can add to that win count here. (11) SEONGSIL DAERO has a 3rd and two 4th places from her latest three, beating a few of today's rivals along the way. An apprentice jockey keeps her under a light weight and while she has the challenge of the widest gate, she can be a danger. (10) DONGBANG FORCE returned from nine months out to run 3rd over 1300M on October 19th. She should strip fitter for that run and while she is up in class, she is down in weight and can be competitive. (3) HERO CHOICE and (9) MUNHAK BELL others in the frame.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) AMAZING ONE ran 5th in the Rookie Stakes in August and was then 3rd when back in maiden company on October 4th. He draws well and he should be getting off the mark in this kind of company. (3) SUPER HIT has made progress across three starts so far, culminating in 3rd place at 1200M on September 21st when coming from well off the pace. Though she may still want further, the slight step up in trip can suit and she can be a danger. (1) VICTORY STORY and (10) WHITE FLARE came home 4th and 5th respectively when they raced each other at this distance on October 2nd and both can be in the hunt for the minors here. (12) MISS SNIPER has the challenge of the widest gate but with a bit of luck at the start, she can find a forward position and be in the finish.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(10) GLOBAL HAMSEONG was slow away and never really got into the race when favourite over 1300M on September 27th. We'll draw a line through that and go on his form going into the race, which was good, and give him another chance here. (11) RAON NOTHERN DANCE enters off a very close 2nd place at this class and distance on September 27th. He has run well from off the pace so the wide draw shouldn't be a problem and while he is still seeking his first win, he can be a danger. (9) DIXIE MAN is also yet to win but registered three 3rd place finishes up until April this year. He hasn't raced since but he has been gelded in the meantime and trialed up encouragingly enough. (6) ENTROPY and (2) NATURAL SOUND other possibles.

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies only. (8) WORLD BLUE PIN CAT got her maiden win on October 2nd over this distance on what was the fourth time of asking. That win had been coming and while she is up in class, she is down slightly in weight, Seo Seung-un stays on, and she can win again. (9) HEUIMANG DANBI was 2nd to World Blue Pin Cat in that race, her second time finishing as runner-up. She too is up in class but gets a bigger weight drop and she can measure up, most likely from on the speed. (3) JINJU BIT has been just ordinary in her latest couple, most recently 6th over a mile on October 2nd although beating a couple of today's rivals. She has placed three times at this distance including a 2nd place at this class as recently as August 31st, and she can be close. (6) GALLOP QUEEN and (12) BLUEORCHID others in the frame.

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(7) JEULGEOUN SANGSANG is a winner of two of his last three, most recently over this distance on October 3rd when settling handy and running away in the closing stages. That brings him up rapidly in class and while he doesn't get much in the way of a weight drop, there isn't much to fear here, and he can win again.  (11) NAMSAN MINAM was a winner at this class and distance two starts back before running 3rd on October 3rd having led for much of the way. He has the challenge of the widest gate, but an apprentice claim brings his weight back down and he can be competitive. So too can (10) FREE TIME. He is up in class following back-to-back victories at class 5, most recently at this distance on September 6th. Like the favourite, he doesn't get much of a weight drop, but he can measure up. (5) NANOMETA and (9) MALSGO others who can be considered.

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(3) HANNAM QUEEN has a 3rd and a 2nd from her latest two, most recently in a filly only race at this class and distance on October 4th when handy throughout. She carries pretty much the same weight and draws almost the same gate, and she looks ready to win again. (2) MEGA PLAY returned form a couple of months off to run a solid 2nd over this class and distance on September 12th. He should strip fitter for that run and can be close again. (4) SING FOR ME is similarly in following a runner-up finish, in his case at this class and distance on September 26th. He led for much of the way around that day and is well drawn to be on pace again and in this a long way. (9) GOOGLE CAR and (1) GRAND DREAM are better than their respective latest efforts (in the same race) and can also be in the mix.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Five of these raced one another at this class and distance on October 4th and they include most of the leading contenders. (8) PINE PINK won back-to-back races at class 5 level over this distance in August and September before finishing 3rd in that October 4th race having been a bit further back than usual. If she can find a handy position today, she can win. (5) CHEONGSAN JILJU was a class and distance winner at the end of August when making all. He then ran 4th on October 4th having led. He carries 4kg more than that August win but Moon Se-young staying on probably sends him off as favourite. (6) NAMSAN MUJEOK was the best of those on October 4th who return, having run 2nd. He is up 2kg but can be in the mix again. (4) BS STORM and (2) ROPPONGI DRAGON are the best of those who didn't contest that race.

Busan Race 5: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(2) STRIKE ZONE has a 4th and a 3rd in two starts since returning from a nine-month absence in September, both at this distance. He remains under a light weight and third-up this preparation, he can be peaking fitness wise. (8) TOHAMSAN TAEYANG got her maiden win at the fifteenth time of asking at a mile on October 2nd, settling handy early and taking things up on the turn. She comes up in class, but she has placed at this distance before, and she can measure up. (9) COW LINE was a winner at this class and distance on October 2nd, beating Strike Zone, who was 3rd. He is up 3kg in weight as a result but Franco climbing on is a bonus. (5) CANCAN STEP and (11) RAON THE MASKE are other chances.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Competitive race. (11) CLAIR BIG BANG won three in a row between June and August before running 3rd on her first time at this class and at two turns over 1700M on September 28th when settling right back and running on. She stays under the same light weight and should have benefitted from that race and can win. (10) WORLD JOY has won over this distance and enters having been 2nd in both tries at this level, most recently on October 3rd. He carries a fair weight and can be in this. (3) LEGEND WOW won that September 28th race, beating Clair Big Bang. He comes up a full 4kg in weight but that's balanced by a better gate, and he shouldn't be dismissed. (4) WHITE CARLA and (1) STUNNING FLATTER are the other main hopes.

Busan Race 6: Class 2 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

What to make of how (12) MY DREAM DAY ran in the President's Cup at Seoul two weeks ago where he was last and that he bounces back so quickly here. One thing to make of it is he must have come out of it fine and returning to the friendlier climate of a Busan class 2 in a very similar race to one in which he won in September and with Seo Seung-un getting back on, is that he can win. (5) POSTMAN was 2nd to My Dream Day on September 14th having led for much of the way. He draws well to lead again and can be in this a long way. (4) DOCTOR CAPTAIN was 3rd in that same race and followed up with another 3rd at this class over 2000M on October 4th. He too can be in the mix again. (7) B.J. CHIEF and (6) CATALINA MARINE are other potential place chances.

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(9) WORLD BLAME returned from three months out to run 3rd at this class over a mile on October 3rd when settling midfield and running on. He comes back up to the 1800M today, the distance at which he registered his sole win so far, and Maia can get him home on top. (8) ZETTA MASTER was a class and distance winner two starts back before running 2nd on September 7th. He carries his fair share of weight again but if he can be in striking distance in the straight, he has a smart finish on him and is a danger. (7) GWANAKSAN TIGER comes up in class and distance following a win over a mile at the end of August and under a light weight, she can measure up. (6) DAESEONG STAR and (4) SAHARAMOND other sin line for the minors. 

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(4) FUNNY TAP is yet to finish any worse than 4th from seven starts and comes in having won over this distance on September 28th, settling behind the speed and proving too strong in a quick time. She is up in class here but down in weight, Moon Se-young is on, and she can win again. (10) TAENG TAENG BALL made a winning return following ten months out in September, scoring over this distance. He too comes up in class, but if anything should strip fitter for that tan and he can be in the finish. (5) LOVE COWGIRL was 5th on her first try at this class on September 28th but she comes into a much better gate today and can get closer. Last start class and distance winner (2) ELDORADO NOLBU gets whacked with 6kg but can can be equal to it and along with (9) EXCELLENT TAN, is another in the hunt.

Seoul Race 11: Class 1 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 110 Million

(7) YEONGGWANGUI WORLD and (4) WOW WOW have traded wins at this class and distance in their latest two outings with Wow Wow coming out on top on August 31st and Yeonggwangui World on October 4th. Either of them could win here but we will side with Yeonggwangui World to go back-to-back despite having to lug around 59kg and giving 5.5kg to his rival. (9) MIGHTY NEO was well back in the Korea Sprint in September but returns to much calmer waters here and under a light weight, he can be close. (6) SEUNGBUSA and (1) MIGHTY LOOK are others who can be in the mix in what should be a competitive – not to mention quick – finale.
