Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile fillies only with all but two racing for the first time. We will favour the experience. (5) STEEPLE ran a solid 4th on debut over this distance on July 12th, settling midfield and running on. She should have come on for that run and is the one to beat here. (1) DREAM DIA ran 6th debuting in that same July 12th race. Drawing the inside and with Moon Se-young, who rode her in trials but not on debut, will give her plenty of backers. (11) GEOLJAK TIARA looked marginally the best of the newcomers in trials, settling handy and crossing the line a close 2nd. Maia booked is a plus. (7) CATCH RACE and (10) ILLUSION FORCE are other first-timers who can make an impression.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(8) JIJON BULPAE ran a fair 5th on debut over this distance on July 20th, settling back and running on. He should have come on for that run and he can win here. (10) SILLAUI FIGHTER has run twice, finishing in 4th and 5th at 1300M and at 1200M, racing on pace both times. He has the challenge of a wider draw this time but with a bit of luck at the start, he can find a forward position and third-up this preparation, he can be peaking fitness wise. (5) YONGBI STORM ran 5th on debut over 1000M on July 27th. He was doing his best work late so with the step up in trip and some natural improvement from his debut, he can get closer. (1) BEST DREAM and (9) ACE MATCH are others who can improve.
Selections | (8) Jijon Bulpae (10) Sillaui Fighter (5) Yongbi Storm (1) Best Dream |

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(6) THUNDER FIGHTER has a 4th and a 2nd from his two starts to date, both at 1200M, most recently on July 12th when he led for much of the way around. He should lead again and this time he can go all the way. (10) THE EXCELLENT ran 5th on debut and then 4th at start number two over 1200M on July 20th when coming from well off the pace and beating a couple of today's rivals. The slight step up in trip should suit and he can be a big danger. (11) SAINT WINNER is a bit more experienced and comes in off his best finish to date when 2nd over 1400M on July 26th. He may need some early luck from out wide, but he can be in the finish. (8) SMART NOTION and (1) DDATTEUTHAN WIRO others in the frame.
Selections | (6) Thunder Fighter (10) The Excellent (11) Saint Winner (8) Smart Notion |

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(3) SONE SONJABGO comes in with recent form reading very consistently, most recently when 2nd at this class and distance on July 27th when ridden a little closer than usual. Expect similar tactics here and he can go one better. (7) KING OF DRAGON was 4th in a juvenile Listed race last autumn but hasn't run since finishing down the field in the Breeders' Cup Rookie at Busan last December coming in and out of work in the intervening time. He trialed up well in July and while his match fitness must be taken on trust, he could make a winning return. (2) WHITE CARLA hasn't yet kicked on from a debut win but second-up after a couple of months off, she may be sharper today. (6) ROYAL SOCKS and (9) J ONE POWER the other main chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(3) GANGCHEOL DRAGON returned from a six-month absence to run a strong 3rd over 1400M on August 2nd, settling midfield and running on. His sole win to date came at today's trip and stripping fitter for that run three weeks ago, he can win. (9) RAON NORTHERN DANCE is yet to score in nine attempts, but he has seven top four finishes, including his last start 4th place at 1400M. He tackles two turns for the first time and under a light weight, it can suit. (2) BEOLGYO D Y got his maiden win three starts back at this class and distance and is much better than his subsequent two runs suggest. Drawn well again, he is worth another chance. (5) THUNDER STORM and (8) NASSAU CHAT among more in line for the minors.
Selections | (3) Gangcheol Dragon (9) Raon Northern Dance (2) Beolgyo D Y (5) Thunder Storm |

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(10) GEUPHAENG YEOLCHA has made steady progress across three starts so far, culminating in a 2nd place over 1300M on July 26th when, as has been her style, she settled back and ran on. She steps up to 1400M for the first time and it could be exactly what she needs to come home on top. (1) EUNBIT DOLPUNG doesn't exactly win out of turn, but she showed signs of a return to form when 2nd at this class and distance on July 6th. Still lightly weighted, she can be there or thereabouts again. (6) CHANG CHANG SOCKS races for the first time since being found lame after a disappointing effort when favourite at this class and distance in May. He was favourite for a reason that day and has been back in work since August 8th. If fit, he is a chance. (4) GANDAGO and (11) BREEDO SIRIS others in the frame.
Selections | (10) Geuphaeng Yeolcha (1) Eunbit Dolpung (6) Chang Chang Socks (4) Gandago |

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(10) WONDERFUL SWEET has two 2nd places and a 4th in three goes at this class, most recently at a mile on July 19th when on pace and leading for much of the way. He comes back to a trip at which he won the last time he tackled it and while the draw is a touch wider than ideal, he has plenty of time to find a position and he can win. (11) VINCERO CUE took a couple of goes to figure things out, but he has won his latest two to get rapidly promoted to this class. He is up to 1400M for the first time, but he can measure up. (10) CHUPUNGNYEONG won back-to-back races in May and June including at this class and distance. He was a beaten favourite when 5th on July 20th but that was under a big weight and with an apprentice taking the edge off today, he can be close. (6) ARCH DAY and the returning (1) SINUI BANJEON others to consider.
Selections | (10) Wonderful Sweet (11) Vincero Cue (10) Chupungnyeong (6) Arch Day |

Seoul Race 8: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(10) EAST WEST has been running out of his class in his recent outings and did very well at it with a pair of 3rd places at class 2 over 2000M. He drops back to class 3 here and while that means he is right at the top of the handicap, he could well have too much for them. (1) TANSEONGUI BANSEOK had been working toward a maiden win, and it arrived at start number five over this distance on July 13th. He comes up in class here but is down significantly in weight and he can measure up. (8) DRAGON GATE has placed on all four occasions he has tackled the 1800M. Most recently he was 3rd on what was his first try at this class on July 5th and he should be on pace and in the mix again. (6) BLUE NELLO and (5) GWANAKSAN LEO other chances.
Selections | (10) East West (1) Tanseongui Banseok (8) Dragon Gate (6) Blue Nello |
Next Best | 5, 2 |

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(1) MUNHAK BOY has won his latest three in fine style, most recently at this class and distance on July 27th when on pace throughout. He comes up 3kg in weight, but he draws very nicely to lead again, and he can make it four in a row (11) RYAN HEART is up in class after an all-the-way score over this distance on July 5th. He is down 3.5kg in weight and while he has the challenge of the widest gate, he can be competitive again. (5) PALO ALTO is up in class having won two of her latest three. She is another who likes to be on pace and she can be in this a long way. (9) AQUA LINE ran on July 19th for the first time since winning the Breeders' Cup Rookie last November. He should strip fitter here. (8) BLUE PIORA another with more than a small chance of being involved in what is a really nice-looking race for the level.
Selections | (1) Munhak Boy (11) Ryan Heart (5) Palo Alto (9) Aqua Line |
Next Best | 8, 3 |
Fast Start | 1, 3, 5, 11 |
Seoul Race 10: Class 2 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million
(7) SUPREME SOCKS won three in a row between May and July and was then 2nd at a mile four weeks ago. That brings him up in class here, but he is down in weight and is two for two at today's distance. (2) ZIGGURAT comes in fresh having last run in the Listed Sports Chosun back in May when 4th over the 2000M. While he may not have the win record his ability deserves, he rarely runs a bad race, first-up should be no problem back at this trip, and he can be close. (4) JANGBI DAEUN is a winner of five from nine and was a solid 3rd on her first try at this class on June 28th when she was on pace and had a couple of today's rivals behind her. She still has potential for more progress. (9) MIGHTY JJANG and (5) J S ROAD others who should be in the mix.
